Help me pick a waterproof ski jacket!

So far I'm torn between these two:

www.rei.com/product/886117/obermeyer-leighton-insulated-jacket-womens

Or

www.rei.com/product/888022/the-north-face-cheakamus-triclimate-3-in-1-jacket-womens

I love the fit of the Obermeyer, but the North Face one seems more versatile-3 jackets in one.... Anyone have first hand experience with either? I've got really poor circulation so I'm always freezing and without the right jacket I'll be stuck in the lodge.... But I also want to not resemble a sack of potatoes.

Oh I'm 5'6", 135lbs, very hourglass...if that makes a difference....I think that's my issue with the north face one, it's really not fitted at all in person and makes me look like a lump of coal.

Thoughts? & thanks!

Sorry, not very helpful with deciding between those two jackets but I ski all winter in Canada (so very cold) and I have sprung for a Patagonia jacket that was reputed to be the warmest tested. Comes with a down layer inbuilt but is also waterproof. I have never yet been cold. May be worth considering if you are always really cold.

Hi i wouldn't use Obermeyer one as you couldn't fit a helmet under the hood by the looks of it.

Good point about the helmet, you're right this it might not actually fit one! They both get good reviews for warmth which was my initial concern....but safety's important too! ;)

I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to spring for a Patagonia as I only use it a few times each year.... But if I find one in a shop near me I might have to try one on.....
