I need a short warm coat for this cold but sunny weather, preferably stylish.

Any suggestions as to where to look?

Many thanks flowers

Superdry - they have an eBay outlet which is pretty cheap. I'm not into the brand itself but my short down jacket is sooooo warm!!

I saw some nice ones in tk max if there's any near you.

Are the Uniqlo ones proper coats? Some reviews refer to using them as layers under coats?

I was going to say uniqlo. They different types, one is lightweight which is think is less warm but the non lightweight is warm enough to be worn alone.

Please consider how cruel the Down industry is and source your jacket from an ethical supplier.

I have a Fjallraven which I got in the sale a couple of years ago it's made from G Loft so dries much quicker than down. I don't wear down products.

I have a jackwolfskin down jacket from Cotsworld outdoors, it's an on the hip style but feels a bit too short so I wonder if that brand is good for shorter torsos. Sorry, wasn't sure if you meant hip length rather than knee or if you wanted to find a brand that was good for shorter bodies.

Crikey- had no idea about the ethics...
