Moisturiser to plump skin? Hyaluronic Acid?

I'm 50 and just use Simple wipes, a Simple face wash and a Simple moisturiser. My skin is "normal" (not dry or oily), slightly sensitive (but not overly so) amd I don't get spots. It is, however, showing signs of aging - fine lines and slight sagginess.

I've just been reading a big thread on skincare and am wondering if I should start using something to plump up my skin.

Hyaluronic acid? Should I be using something with this in?

I'm just looking online and wondered about these moisturisers:

.... Or should I get a serum with it in and then just use the Simple moisturiser over the top?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hello. Hyaluronic acid is most effective under a water based moisturiser, so the serum would be better. I haven't used any of those products myself, but both of the serums you've linked look okay, ingredients wise. Bear in mind that the plumping effect is temporary and if you stop using the products you will have the same issue. To actually reverse any signs of ageing you'd need vitamin A/retinol.

How long have you been using the products that you do now? You might find you need to step it up a little from Simple to keep your skin nicely hydrated, which will help with the plumping.

Hi OP. I have been using Hydraluron under moisturiser and I swear it's taken 5 years off me in a week!

You can only get it from Boots, It's about £25 for a tube but you can buy little sample packs to see if it suits you.

If your wipes contain alcohol, they may be drying out your skin a bit. Ditto if your wash is foaming.
