Can you wear brown leather boots with a purple knit dress?

Hello, I'm travelling for a long weekend away and trying to limit my packing to hand luggage only.

I'd like to wear my brown boots for the flight etc, and not take any other shoes if possible. They are high lace up victorian style.

For going about I really like my purple knit dress as it works for all occasions, but I usually wear it with black boots.

Do I need to pack my black boots?!

Style advice gratefully received :)

I would. I think purple goes with loads of colours.

Thanks! My friend said the same, but she's a bit of a hippy. Grin

No! But yes if your style is hippy

Of course you can, I often wear brown with purple and I am not a hippy!

A bit hippy but nice

Is that Taylor Swift?

Googling does suggest it's a slightly hippy look Grin but, I think, that's just purple in general.

I'm not a hippy and I think brown and purple are fine. In fact, unless it's a very dark purple, I would say brown might be better.

Oh, thanks SwedishEdith, Great pics.

I think, prob for convenience sake, as I don't want to be taking loads of stuff, I could work the brown and purple thing.

Loving the purple, brown and turquoise in fact!

So long as I know how it looks, and it's not accidental-hippy iykwim.

Yes, that would be my first choice (before black) and I am not a hippy.
