Really really high-waist opaque tights?!

I have lots of black opaques in my drawer, but only 1 pair (annoyingly with no label) with a waist that i can pull right up over my tummy - sexy i know!! the others all end too low down and cut me in half in a very unflattering way! when i hold them next to the other pairs, the waist area is a good 5 or 6 inches longer than the other pairs!

from memory i have only bought tights in M&S, tesco, bhs and primark. any idea where these ones would be from?! or any other recommendations? I think they are 60 denier.

Are they maybe maternity tights?

M&S Velvet Touch (I think- definitely velvet something) come way up and are the nicest opaques IMO.

I used to wear them to work most days and I wore them throughout one of my pregnancies- well, up to about 7 months- and they came up over my bump.

Marks and Spencer's are good! I always go for M/L to get the long waist, even though I'm only 5 foot three and a size 8. I prefer being able to pull the tights up high!

Primark tights come right up I buy the medium size

haha if they are maternity i must have bought them by mistake! i don't think they are!
normally it is M&S i love so my guess is they are from there but maybe a slightly different type to the other ones i seem to have lots of! I will see if i can compare in the shop and find those velvet ones!

Primark, the 100denier ones. I bought 2 pairs last week (£2.50 a pair) and I can pull them right up to the bottom of my bra. They have the longest top part of any tights I've had for years! Go for a size bigger than you normally would too I buy mine in XL, although by sizing I'm actually a L.

i will check them out too but think my primark ones come up smaller. I always buy XL no matter what shop- i'm a 16-18

M&S ones - i am size 18-20 and 5'10 and some of them (not all esp the coloured one) i can pull up to under my bra!

Definitely the M&S velvet touch - I have some and they come right up to the bottom of my bra band.
My best tights for tummy covering are a pair of Falke woolly opaques that I got in TKMaxx, they have a really wide soft waist band so they don't cut in and cause that nasty tummy bulge some tights can give you.

Another vote for primark ones - very long in the body. I am 5'8" with 34" legs and I can still get them up to my bra!! I buy the large size

Sainsburys. I wear the 40 denier weather ones - sainsburys and morrisons.', but sainsburys come up higher

Def Primark - I buy the 80 denier body shaper ones, and pull them right up to my bra too! S'lovely in this cold weather. And they keep the flabby, bulgy curves in some sort of order.

I very rarely buy from Primark but was out recently shopping with friends and, on a whim, bought 300 denier fleecy lined and......

OMG, they are the most comfortable things I've ever worn on my legs. £3.50 and in size m/l , very high waisted.

Highly recommend.

Peacocks shapers 80denier are fabulous. They last really well, keep their shape and pull right up over the belly! I'm an apple so I really need this. They are only £4 each.

I find primark tights don't pull up high enough. I guess it depends how roly poly you are
