Mineral foundation for acne?

Technically I've got combination skin, dry skin and an oily t-zobe but still manage to get acne spots on my cheeks Confused. I'm taking antibiotics for the acne by the way.

I was looking for a mineral foundation as I've heard they don't clog the pores. I've used bare mineral powder but it seems to show up dry patches on my skin awfully. Body shop's one wasn't as bad but there isn't much of a range in colours there.

Any other mineral foundations out there? Maybe a liquid based one would suit me better?

Cheers

I've used a combination moisturizing with Eucerin 5% urea cream (hydrating without pore clogging, and helps dry patches) either the night before or about 15 min before applying mineral foundation, and Lily Lolo (online only, but you can purchase cheap sample jars to test out different shades). I set it with a spray of water (I use Avene but tap water would be fine.) My acne cleared up on this regime.

I have dry acne-prone skin. I get breakouts from most moisturizers. The liquid base in foundations is often problematic too. Some BB creams seem to suit my skin too, I'm currently using Dr Jart Premium and it's fine.

I prefer the solid Bare Minerals foundation. It gives me a far better finish than the loose powder

Hmm you could be right there frustrated frugal as I'm sure my moisturising regime is letting me down. Hard to find a moisturiser that does the job without leaving me oily! Will look into the solid form redglitter. Thanks
