Best Breton tops? To wear with jeans/Capri trousers...

SIL has a gorgeous Petit Bateau one, and a Jaeger one, but the material on both is too heavy for me. Moving to warmer climes v soon so I need something lightweight.

Suggestions??

I have done much research on this subject recently and would say Seasalt. Luckily I managed to get the red wine stain out of my old one so I didn't have to buy one in the end, but that was the result my research got me to!!

Fab, will look at both! Not normally a Boden fan but has anyone tried theirs?

I have a few Boden ones and they are good - quite light tshirt material which is good for summer.

There are many many threads about Breton tops, of you have the time/motivation to search for them! (I certainly don't...;))

My opinion is that most of them are too bloody short and that a boat/slash neck is crucial. I've had success with Gap and H&M ones recently. Joules also do quite nice ones although the colours can be a bit twee. I've had some good ones from Boden but they change their design and fabric every season so there's very little continuity!

Yes to Seasalt, long enough (I'm 5ft 10), good neckline, not too thick, not too thin. I have 3 Grin

I have one from Boden. I like it but its not what I'd call lightweight. Maybe the fabric is different depending on which seasons collection its from.

I have a Boden one from last summer. It's light weight but short in the body.

Thanks all, will try good old h&m too...

Boden seem to do a long line one now, fwiw!

I got a cracker from Lidl recently. Just under £4 for 97% cotton 3% elastane and sufficiently long (I am presently 39.5 weeks upduffed and it covers the bump). Stripes perfectly matched too and it has been washed three times now with no bobbling. I might have lucked out though - it was in that spooky centre aisle next to chainsaw sharpeners and socket sets. Have a great one from Tu as well - navy and taupe. Washes like a dream.
