Like these from Zara?? Top shop, office, h and m have them.

What do we all think? I am unashamedly on the fence. Love the heel height, <old gunner, bad hip> An a bit confused about the style of shoe.

Opinions?

old gunner??? Old gimmer, more like.

I think they are pretty awful. The sort of thing you will look back on next year and wonder why on earth you were hoodwinked into wearing them!

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:25:44

Topshop have them in a few colours. They have a nice grey pair.
Are they the cropped flares of shoes? I kind of like the shoes but maybe that's because I see them everywhere. Initially (months ago) I thought they were hideous. Now they're growing on me.

The link doesn't work for me on my phone, do you have a pic?

CointreauVersial Tue 02-Feb-16 17:28:35

They do look somewhat frumpy to me BUT I would love it if that style of shoe does come back in, because if you have wide buniony feet like me they are so comfy!

The fashion for low-cut ballet flats was a disaster - I've lost count of the number of shoes I've tried on where the top of the shoe cuts straight across the joint of my big toe. These come up nice and high on the foot.

I just need to stop thinking about Great Aunt Edna when I look at them, particularly the beige ones

73dexter Tue 02-Feb-16 17:29:48

This sort of shoe.

GoofyIsACow Tue 02-Feb-16 17:31:43

Thankyou Dexter... Wow... I am astounded! They are truly terrible!

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:32:58

These are the Topshop ones

I think those shoes were featured in the Sunday Times Style section last weekend. They're being touted as 'Ballet flats with heels'.

I like the look of them, but don't know how they'll look on me hmm

IHaveBrilloHair Tue 02-Feb-16 17:34:20

Dear fucking god they are hideous.

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:34:21

X post.

Am I being hoodwinked?

IHaveBrilloHair Tue 02-Feb-16 17:35:23

Sunday Times style section?
Do you mean the back page of My Weekly?

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:35:50

Gold from topshop

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:38:53

Office do them too

They are everywhere.

73dexter Tue 02-Feb-16 17:41:06

The reason I said 'hoodwinked' is because I think they are the sort of shoe that you can end up buying because they are fashionable at the moment and places like Topshop & Zara are selling them, but a year ago if someone had linked to an identical pair from Hotter you wouldn't have even looked twice at them!

GoofyIsACow Tue 02-Feb-16 17:42:06

No, step away, they are fucking awful

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 17:48:50

The more you all say 'hideous', the more disappointed I am. I must not be on the fence after all. I must like them. Might scratch the itch and order the grey.

This 90s fashion revival has gone too far. Someone put a stop to it, immediately. I saw ski-pants for sale the other day. Ski-pants!

srslylikeomg Tue 02-Feb-16 18:12:46

I like them! Very Celine. I like the COS ones I'm dove grey suede.

srslylikeomg Tue 02-Feb-16 18:13:33

IN dove grey suede. I'm not dove grey grin

FrustratedFrugal Tue 02-Feb-16 18:20:14

I will skip lots of fashion trends this summer. Granny shoes - nope. Open shoulder sweaters - no way. Cropped flares - not in my wildest dreams grin

She can't pull this off either:

Ididnthearanything Tue 02-Feb-16 18:22:11

Ah! Someone likes them!

Cos have them? Can't see them on their website.

LineyReborn Tue 02-Feb-16 18:23:07

Are they what used to be called 'court shoes' in the 70s/80s for sensible wear?

Anyway definitely fucking horrible.

Wombatinabathhat Tue 02-Feb-16 18:23:23

They look baggy around the side of her foot confused
