I tried this on in Mint Velvet today:

www.mintvelvet.co.uk/blush-zip-collar-coat/coats-gilets/mint-v/fcp-product/6405

I just can't decide about it. I've been looking for something like this which is warmish but light. I've got a down coat for when it's very cold. I want to avoid biker style which is everywhere at the moment. This fastens down the middle which I like.

What do you think?

Hmmm. It's not my cup of tea. And pricey for a wool blend. Think you can probably do better for that sort of money. What about a nice pea coat or trench?

Maplessglobe Sat 23-Jan-16 19:09:42

Also it actually looks like the fastening is to the side- is fastening down the middle a key requirement?

Maplessglobe Sat 23-Jan-16 19:12:21

this is pretty if you're a size 8.

IHaveBrilloHair Sat 23-Jan-16 19:12:46

I really like it but omg not enough to pay that price.

MissAlabamaWhitman Sat 23-Jan-16 19:13:04

I'm not keen.
It's pretty nondescript and for 'blush pink' it reads rather grey to me.

Sorry but I think you can do better for the price too.

MissAlabamaWhitman Sat 23-Jan-16 19:14:00

Oh, love the maxmara.

Get that if it'll fit.

OnlyHereForTheCamping Sat 23-Jan-16 19:27:51

I don't like it but I don't really get mint velvet at all.

Dancergirl Sat 23-Jan-16 19:30:07

mapless not necessarily, I just don't want biker style!

Glad I posted for opinions, I wasn't 100% sure and it is expensive.

I'm not an 8 unfortunately and in any case I want it to be jacket length rather than coat length.

Maybe a pea coat.....?

WipsGlitter Sat 23-Jan-16 19:30:23

I was looking at that recently. I like it.

Maplessglobe Sat 23-Jan-16 20:08:48

Can't go wrong with a peacoat. Are you particularly after blush? There's some lovely navy ones about

WickedWax Sat 23-Jan-16 20:23:59

I'm not a fan of Mint Velvet but I quite like this, not in black though. And it's expensive for wool/polyester mix.

WilburIsSomePig Sat 23-Jan-16 20:32:00

I love it, I think it's lovely.

What about this one:

IHaveBrilloHair Sun 24-Jan-16 17:28:15

That's lovely, I'd buy it myself if I wasn't skint!

elephantoverthehill Sun 24-Jan-16 17:32:52

I quite like it but have you checked out the Jaegar discount website? Someone posted about it on here about 10 days ago. I was really surprised at the prices and really wished I could justify another coat.

Bluecheese22 Sun 24-Jan-16 17:35:28

I really love it, think it's beautiful.

nooddsocksforme Sun 24-Jan-16 17:36:29

I saw that mint velvet one irl and thought it was lovely. Way too pale for mw though so had to leave it. Wish MV would improve their colours

Dancergirl Sun 24-Jan-16 17:40:02

Thanks for the Jaegar tip elephant, have just found this:

elephantoverthehill Sun 24-Jan-16 17:44:43

I think that is quite wow!

Dancergirl Sun 24-Jan-16 17:57:08

The Jaegar one is only available in a 12 which is my size!

SuckingEggs Sun 24-Jan-16 19:00:26

I've got that JO jacket. Gorgeous!

Yseulte Sun 24-Jan-16 19:52:35

I think it's a bit boring for the price. If I were going to spend that much money I'd want it to be wow.

sooperdooper Sun 24-Jan-16 19:56:40

It's pretty dull, not my cuppa tea

sooperdooper Sun 24-Jan-16 19:57:26

Only just spotted the price, don't think it looks that expensive
