who is honestly styling these models:

Would these clothes sell or put you off. The videos are the worst. she looks twice the size.

Ringadingdingdong Fri 15-Jan-16 22:10:55

Bloody hell no wonder they're in the sale. If they manage to make a pretty, young, slim model look like a sack of shit, then there's not much hope for the rest of us. Bloody awful. Terrible clothes and terrible styling.

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:13:25

It never was THAT bad. Oh dear god!!! Just seriously awful. I am sure she is very slim but it just makes her look well- dumpy!

ivejusthadacake Fri 15-Jan-16 22:14:10

not ground breaking but nice everyday. not my taste but not offensive. the model looks like a normal 5 ft 8, 9 stone woman rather than a 7 st 9 lbs that you might see in higher end ad campaign. it all looks fine!

AFingerofFudge Fri 15-Jan-16 22:15:18

I do think it has something to do with their styling- it all looks really drab and odd!

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:16:15

oh and this looks like charity shop fashion. Apologies to anyone that gets stuff from a charity shop. Its just its like they have picked up a skirt and top..its just this is so miss matched!!

chumbler Fri 15-Jan-16 22:16:49

I know!!! In store I love the white stuff but I never fancy anything when looking online!

Ubik1 Fri 15-Jan-16 22:16:56

Flipping horrendous.

Rule of thumb - if the model looks fat in it, there's no hope for mere mortals.

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:17:28

Looks fine?hmm Its dreadful!!! I am not saying its offensive but its meant to sell their clothes?

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:18:09

Thats it chumbler. It really puts me off!!!!

Radyward Fri 15-Jan-16 22:18:34

Just horrendous. Their clothes are just not great quality for the price and that's not even going there as regards their 'style ' .
I bought a cardigan that just didn't last and looks like a rag I wouldn't even wear painting !!

DelphiniumBlue Fri 15-Jan-16 22:19:04

Don't what they did to that poor model, I've got that top and its really flattering. But not with a beige skirt.

Ringadingdingdong Fri 15-Jan-16 22:19:25

The model is bigger (more normal) than most models, which I really like, but those clothes do no favours. Truly drab, shapeless and awful.

Bunbaker Fri 15-Jan-16 22:20:00

They aren't to my taste.

However, their Jade jeggings are absolutely the best jeggings ever. They do them in standard and long length and are the most comfortable and flattering jeggings for my awkward pear shape.

I was in House of Fraser today looking at expensive jeans, and the sales assistant complimented me on the ones I was wearing, which happened to be a pair of the navy jeggings. They are dearer than most brands, but they wear and wash extremely well. I now have three pairs.

And, no I don't work for them.

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:22:32

In the first video, its the chelsea boots and white legs that get me. Not a good look. Kind of summer, winter boots, summer skirt, summer top. Put tights to match the boots on her please.

Greengardenpixie Fri 15-Jan-16 22:24:00

I love some of their clothes and i have a pair of black and blue jade jeggings. They are the best ever. Its just how things are shown. Its just so off putting.

ScattyHattie Sat 16-Jan-16 06:17:57

not very flattering tops & i usually like the White stuff quirky style but those outfits don't seem together go at all . I don't think it helps that the model seems to blend into the drab studio background.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark Sat 16-Jan-16 06:21:27

Nothing's happened, it's always been frumpston.

(there is a factory shop near me, and M & S, Boden, Monsoon and White Stuff all come out of it. This may, or may not be coincidental....)

OnlyHereForTheCamping Sat 16-Jan-16 10:40:30

It's fairly honest styling, that's what white stuff looks like on.

fiorentina Sat 16-Jan-16 11:27:10

I have always found their clothes to have very little style and shape to be honest. They are things people throw on for ease rather than really style an outfit. Maybe I'm being harsh.

Bunbaker Sat 16-Jan-16 11:29:20

I think their clothes are meant for casual comfort rather than chic style. I still stand by the Jade jeggings being the best jeggings on the market. They actually look like skinny jeans, not jeggings. I also have a lovely knitted dress that gets worn a lot.

Floowho Sat 16-Jan-16 17:48:19

I think it is about the styling. The second top would look fab with cigarette trousers or skinny jeans. The colour of the t-shirt just doesn't suit the model.

pseudonymity Sat 16-Jan-16 18:12:24

Oh dear god!

ClaudiaWankleman Sat 16-Jan-16 18:26:10

The chelsea boots and knee length skirt combo really shortens her legs. Not a good look at all.

Chippednailvarnish Sat 16-Jan-16 18:30:56

Completely agree, if I look at each of the tops shown as examples and think about putting them with something a lot more classic they would look much better.
