& Other Stories

Does anybody know what & Other Stories sizing is like? I'm usually a size 12, occasionally a 10. I get confused with European sizes, wasn't sure whether to go for a 38 or 40. I thought 40 was a 12, but I've seen a 38 as a 12 sometimes.

Do they come up big or small?

Thanks!

I think their sizing is inconsistent tbh. I'm a 10 and have bought things in a 36 that were too big and 38 that were too small!
not so helpful, sorry!!

I think strictly speaking 38 = 12

What is the item?

I'm a pear shaped 10-12 and I don't like things to feel tight. I take a Small or 36 if things are loose or oversized, for fitted knitwear I'm a medium, in trousers/jeans or fitted dresses (eg fixed waist) a 38. Your miles may vary but I hope that helps.

By the way, delivery is six quid and returns can takes ages so if you can try something on to get a feel for their sizings I would recommend it!

I quite like this:

Delivery is a lot, not sure if it's worth it.

That's really pretty. I reckon i'd take a punt on a 38 if I were you. £6 does feel like a bit of a fleece though.

Lovely print. I'd go for a 38 in that style. I posted earlier that I'm a 10-12 but on reflection, definitely more of a 12 atm.

I'm a 10-12 and usually order 38. I just did a big sale order and everything fitted me, both tops and bottoms. I do love their stuff.

They come up really big!

A dress from them arrived yesterday and I love it, really thick & falls nicely, but it's v.v. roomy. They should start from a size 32.

10/12 is 38 in Northern Europe (and, confusingly, 40 in France and 44 in Italy), but Stories clothes can be huge. A local blogger here bought sweaters in XS (she's 34/36) and she was still swamped. I have a 38 size dress from them and it is a size too big. I'm normally a perfect 38 but Stories is owned by H&M and their sizing tends to be inconsistent (COS...).

It's free returns so get a few sizes.

Forgot to say they also come up short on me. I'm only 5 4!
