Michael Kors bags - Yay or Nay?

I like them. But so does every 15 year old in South London. Would you be seen dead wearing one?

If I liked the style/colour/leather of the bag & it wasn't extortionate, I might consider it even though I don't care for obvious logos/blingy hardware. So basically it would be neither here nor there to me if it was a "named" bag or not.

I was just going to say every teen girl in town has a fake one. They're going the way of Burberry, I wouldnt have one.

Nay. Too obvious. I'm lusting after a gorgeous Coach one I saw in JL, much more classy.

No sorry it's the new Burberry!

Lots of people are going to come along and tell you "no" because they're ubiquitous, chavvy, tacky etc etc and just slag off MK bags.

I have a lot of bags by a lot of well known designers. But seriously, one of my favourite knocking about bags is my black Michael Kors jetset. It's roomy, light, good handles and sleek looking. It's clearly a copy of the Neverfull, and to me that's probably the main dodgy thing about MK bags. How they have not been sued by LV, Prada and Chloe is somewhat of a mystery! They must know where the bodies are buried.Grin

Used to, but now don't. Too ubiquitous and the look is getting a bit cheap.

Having said that, I still use my Jet Set tote with laptop sleeve because all else aside, it is fab as a combo laptop bag / briefcase / handbag. I will probably replace it with another Jet Set tote (as not come across another company that does a similar laptop / handbag combo), but am reluctant to buy a non-laptop bag.

I have two, both in the same style but one navy and one black with cream trim. Both look timeless and classy to me. I use the black one for work. I don't like all the styles though.

I adore mine. I have the same as cashew and the Bedford in tan. As well as a purse.

I don't really care that teenage girls have the same ones. I used to commute and needed something sizeable to carry everything.

I've had Coach bags in the past that only lasted 7-8 months before looking old and tatty. These have both lasted 2-3 years and still look brand new.

No.

Hate all the gold bling, and that nasty logo thing that hangs off them.

Report
itsbetterthanabox · 11/01/2016 09:53

The big MK on them all is so showy and gaudy. The pale pink and blue ones are the worst. I wouldn't wear one. Black, brown or red bags for me only.
