Michael Kors bags - Yay or Nay?

I like them. But so does every 15 year old in South London. Would you be seen dead wearing one?

If I liked the style/colour/leather of the bag & it wasn't extortionate, I might consider it even though I don't care for obvious logos/blingy hardware. So basically it would be neither here nor there to me if it was a "named" bag or not.

I was just going to say every teen girl in town has a fake one. They're going the way of Burberry, I wouldnt have one.

Nay. Too obvious. I'm lusting after a gorgeous Coach one I saw in JL, much more classy.

LadyMaryofDownt0n Sun 10-Jan-16 23:20:42

No sorry it's the new Burberry!

Lots of people are going to come along and tell you "no" because they're ubiquitous, chavvy, tacky etc etc and just slag off MK bags.

I have a lot of bags by a lot of well known designers. But seriously, one of my favourite knocking about bags is my black Michael Kors jetset. It's roomy, light, good handles and sleek looking. It's clearly a copy of the Neverfull, and to me that's probably the main dodgy thing about MK bags. How they have not been sued by LV, Prada and Chloe is somewhat of a mystery! They must know where the bodies are buried.grin

Always a nay for me.

No. Much prefer Coccinelle classier!

HooseRice Mon 11-Jan-16 00:03:32

Nay, nay and thrice nay.

Another vote for coach here

Used to, but now don't. Too ubiquitous and the look is getting a bit cheap.

Having said that, I still use my Jet Set tote with laptop sleeve because all else aside, it is fab as a combo laptop bag / briefcase / handbag. I will probably replace it with another Jet Set tote (as not come across another company that does a similar laptop / handbag combo), but am reluctant to buy a non-laptop bag.

No way. No bount there are exceptions but way too bling you and ubiquitous for me.

marghini Mon 11-Jan-16 00:20:37

Nay. Really tacky looking at this point imho.

happygoluckylady Mon 11-Jan-16 08:22:27

No. They're everywhere now. Just a bit cheap and nasty looking.

SinglePringle Mon 11-Jan-16 08:33:12

Nay, nay and thrice nay.

Too blingy and off the market cheap looking.

Only1scoop Mon 11-Jan-16 08:34:08

cashewnutty Mon 11-Jan-16 08:39:42

I have two, both in the same style but one navy and one black with cream trim. Both look timeless and classy to me. I use the black one for work. I don't like all the styles though.

Larastheme Mon 11-Jan-16 08:40:43

Big nope for me,

cashewnutty Mon 11-Jan-16 08:41:57

This is the style i have. I don't like any of the others.

PicnicPie Mon 11-Jan-16 08:42:08

Definitely a nay!

SquadGoals Mon 11-Jan-16 09:04:34

I adore mine. I have the same as cashew and the Bedford in tan. As well as a purse.

I don't really care that teenage girls have the same ones. I used to commute and needed something sizeable to carry everything.

I've had Coach bags in the past that only lasted 7-8 months before looking old and tatty. These have both lasted 2-3 years and still look brand new.

Hate all the gold bling, and that nasty logo thing that hangs off them.
