My bags are really bad and I've been reading about 'plexr' a new, non invasive, soft surgery. Does anybody know anything it or had it done?

I've got the same problem. I've been doing a bit of research and it looks like it could be the answer. Everything I've read states that under eye bags can be treated but I can only see photos and videos of upper eye bags that have been treated.

Never heard of this but definitely interested - looks like only available on Harley St, Southea and Scotland. I live in Cheshire - off to google some more!

Just been in contact with company in Burnley, they are charging £1700 for two sessions, upper and lower eyelids. Pricey, just wish I had some independent pics I could look at

I've also been in touch with BAAPS to see if they can give me any information. If they get back to me I'll let you know what they say.

I had a consultation at a clinic in Richmond, Surrey bodyvie.com/treatments/non-surgical-blepharoplasty. The doctor was quite confident that most people only need one session and the cost was in the region of £650. Perhaps they'd do us a job lot!

Meh, expensive quick 'fixes' tend not to fix much in reality.

Have a little Google at tear through injections. Whilst it does involve a needle it's nothing 'major'. I looked into this quite a bit to treat my under eye bags which take a larger cup size than my boobs I just haven't done it yet due to money issues. On top of my head this procedure is ca£600

Hey Moving, did you go ahead with the Plexr treatment? I going to get it done before Xmas but wondered if you went ahead and got it and if so, what it was like?

Please do not waste your money on this treatment. I had this done last year, four treatments in total for my hooded eyelids and was told i would need another 2-3 to obtain surgery result, i stopped after the four treatments because it was obvious it was doing more damage than what i was told it would do. Initially when you finish the treatment which is when most photo's are taken it does show the lift (probably a reaction to being burnt!) however after a weeks worth of swollen, scabby eyes the result quickly confirm the results are very minimal if anything. Four treatments later and comparing my before and after photo's i can not see any difference. The hoodedness is the same however i do believe the amount of treatments has left me with crepey eyelids. It also left scarring which has improved with using bio oil but this has taken months to repair its self. After treatments the eyes are very red and you have to be extremely careful when washing your face as the redness can take hours to diminish and this took months to eventually go. Sauna are a big no go for at least six months after treatments!! Again something they don't tell you! I would urge anybody to not waste any money on the treatment and save your money and have the surgery instead. This will do more damage that not! I have been for a consultation now for eye surgery and the surgeon is worried about how the healing process will be due to my eye lids now being very thin skinned due to this procedure.

Your welcome Bingynongybashy, i see many posts now inquiring about this procedure and you don't see many reviews about it. I met a lady who'm was having the treatment at the same time as me, i bumped into her last week and both our symptoms after sitting down to a cup of coffee was exactly the same. We both used very reputable companies and paid alot of money for what was achieved and that was worse off eyes :( my friend eyes are worse than mine as she had five treatments in the end to try an obtain that surgery result the drs promised. Her scarring is quite bad and she has to use block on her eyes due to being very sensitive to sun rays. She has written three letters of complaints and no one has got back to her

Jorja that is really so bad and it's not cheap either. So sorry your experience turned out like this. So is there no chance of you having the surgical blepharoplasty know? I think I'll go for that option in a few years time, I'll wait until they are really bad. I just hate putting lovely eyeshadow on and then hardly being able to see it!!

Bingybongybashy - it wasn't cheap no :( never mind, i should have done more research and waited for more reviews to come out before going ahead. I was just impatient and should have waited and had the surgery but was excited about this new "wonder" eye treatment that doesn't do what they say it does. When i went for my consultation the surgeon advised to wait longer in hope my something layer will become thicker (sorry can't remember the name) to help with the healing process. I can have the blepharoplasty but he advised to wait another 6 months to see if he see's improvement in the layer of my skin as at the moment they are still healing from having the plexr (even though my treatment was just over 12months ago). The skin is very fragile now, i can no longer have eye brows waxed as my eyes are very red and sore for around a week after. If i can find photo's i will upload the before, during and after. The only difference you will see is the during which is swollen scabby eyes lol

I had Plexr done a few months ago for my very saggy eyelids and I wished I hadn't. I had one session done and never again. For all the expense and the pain of my eyelids being burnt it hasn't helped at all. The amount of swelling was shocking and I looked like I had gone ten rounds in a boxing ring, my eyelids got infected and needed antibiotics. When ringing the place I had treatment at they said this was normal! The redness still hasn't entirely gone. The place I chose to have it done seemed very professional. I'm going to stick to much safer and cheaper eyebrow lifter exercises from now on.

Andrea thanks very much for sharing your experience with me. So glad I posted now instead of just going ahead with it. I'll deffo save up for the surgical option I think. Hope your eyes recover completely and soon X

This is a long post....but read it if you are considering having pleural on your eyelids. I had this treatment back in November, and had very high hopes for it. It wasn't painless, but was bearable having it done. The numbing cream was rubbish. My eyelids before having it were really heavy and hooded, making me look constantly tired and older, so I was very excited at the prospect of being able to actually see my eyelids again.
. After the treatment my eyes became incredibly scabby after a day, and my whole face was seriously swollen . There was no way I could go to work, even though the clinic said there was very little 'downtime' to it. I would say definitely take two weeks off after it. I had to wear dark glasses any time I was out of my house, just to cover up the hideous appearance of my poor eyes. However, I could see my eyelids really well, and it seemed to be successful in that respect.
The swelling gradually went down, and the scabs fell off after about 8-10 days, but eyelids were very red and sore looking, and puffy. It's been 6 weeks now, and I must say, I am a bit disappointed. Although my eyes look slightly more open than before, it hasn't been nearly as fantastic a result as they said it would be. My lids are still heavy, but a little less so. I have to wear a total sunblock on them all the time, and they are still red, slightly puffy, and quite itchy at times. Probably due to the healing. The consultant is pleased with the results and wants me to go back for a second procedure, but I am going to say no....the results are not guaranteed, and the recovery is too much of an ordeal to go through. It's expensive for what it is, and I am thinking I could have had a proper blepharoplasty and be well recovered by now, with a much better result. Oh well, I suppose we try these things don't we. To summarise, this is a procedure not to be undertaken lightly. You will have to go through a few weeks of very unsightly scabbing and swelling, and the results are not that amazing.

I had plexr, £1500 worth in November and would say not to do it. I had mine done at a reputable salon and regret it. The process is not pain free but is manageable. The after effects though are dreadful. The swelling, redness and discolouration are dreadful. I am two months out, and still need lots of camouflage make up on the area and my glasses to mask the damage done to my delicate eye area. I have had a dreadful infection in the treated area..soreness, itching, swelling, and now have a lump, like herniated tissue, under the lower left eye. I fully regret not spending my money on a blepharoplasty. It's been a painful waste of money.

Hi, I've had a great experience with Plexr so thought I'd come on and let you know.

I saw this thread just over a year ago and did my own research as to where to have the treatment done. I've just had another google and there seem to be a lot more places doing it than there were a year ago. I've been really pleased with my results, so thought I would post to redress the balance as others seem to have had negative experiences.

I went to www.drswclinics.com/treatments/plexr/

The first time I had my upper and lower lids treated. I had the cream put on and then went to the waiting room for a couple of hours to wait for it to work. There was very little pain, the worst thing about it was the smell of burning flesh! It's not burning but it smells like it. The downtime was longer than they told me it would be (about 10 days). The next morning I was really worried when I looked in the mirror. My eyes were very swollen and scabby and I had to wear sunglasses the whole time. There was no way I could have gone back to work after a few days, which is what they told me. After about a week the swelling went down (although there were still lots of scabs) and I could see the improvement was drastic.

The second time I had just my upper lids done (as my horrific bags had almost disappeared after the first treatment) and the downtime was much reduced (but still about a week). I didn't look as scary afterwards though, just a bit scabby which I covered with special make up which they tell you to use. I've continued to wear the make up for a long time afterwards to cover the discolouration which did occur, it was important to use a complete sunblock and I was really careful to do that. The discolouration faded after a few months and now I just use an eyecream with an SPF every day.

Dr Wakil was really nice and I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He really knows what he is doing, he told me he had done thousands of these treatments.

I know this sounds like an advert, but honestly it isn't. I found this clinic via google and took a chance and it has really paid off for me.

If you go, do make sure you have some of the make up in your shade to cover up the scabs. I didn't know to do this and ended up wandering around Marylebone in sunglasses on a rainy night trying to find it. I eventually bought it from the skn clinic further down Harley Street. It's called Lycogel. Also make sure you can hide for a while if you have your lower lids done. The website says 2 days of swelling but for me I didn't feel completely normal until 10 days afterwards.

Sorry that others have had such a rough time with this, but I am really really pleased with my results.

Hi
I thought I too would post about my recent plexr treatment. I had my blower eyebags done about a week ago now and I must say I am made up with the results. As everybody mentioned I think the recovery time is a lot more than they advise but other than that I couldn't be happier. I know it's still early days but I can feel my skin is much tighter and smoother which is the result I wanted. When I look back over the photos it is shocking to see the impact swelling and scabbing but ultimately the results speak for themselves.

Just one after-care question anybody could answer. What would you suggest cream wise to put on the area following this procedure. I have bio oil but would just like to check with others first

Happy to share photos or comments to anybody as when doing my research prior to this everyone seemed to be talking about upper eyelids.

Where did you go for your treatment MichelleLewis? It seems the success/otherwise of this treatment is down to the dr performing it. Re cream I was told to keep reapplying the Lycogel and continued to do this for months afterwards to prevent sun damage.

Hello Ladies, I had Plexr treatment last Monday at Perfect Skin Solutions, Winter Road, Southsea. I had upper and lower bags done by Doctor Dev Patel.
Yes I looked dreadful for about 3 days before the swelling started to go down. The crust has nearly all gone and I can quite clearly see the amazing difference achieved. It cost £695 for upper and £450. for lower.
I found the process really painful even with numbing cream, but used an ice roller for about an hour after. I also used the recommended makeup which is lovely.
I wouldn't have had it done if I had read some of your accounts before, but I have and am really pleased.

Hi ladies. I thought I'd join the thread having just had my PlexR treatment done yesterday, in Cyprus where I live. I had both upper eyelids done by a dermatologist who also did my laughter lines. She gave me anaesthetic into my eyelids so I really didn't feel a thing and they used a little vacuum tube which dealt with any smells. I paid €150 which is about £130 so considerably cheaper here.

I was worried last night by the amount of swelling, which was unexpected and today was quite uncomfortable. The swelling has now dropped to my upper cheek on one side but my eyelids have eased during the day.

Can I ask which Lycogel cream you've been recommended to use? I can't buy it here but I want to order it online but the company sells a number of different creams.

I'll let you know how mine develops. I will probably get my left lid done again because it was worse than the right.
