What foundation do you wear? I'm very fair skinned and struggle to find make up that doesn't look a bit too dark on me.

Bobbi Brown in Alabaster or Porcelain (summer colour).

Not cheap, but brilliant.

Clarins tinted moisturiser in porcelain.

MathsFiend Fri 08-Jan-16 12:48:00

By terry sheer expert 01. Best foundation I've ever had.

OTheHugeManatee Fri 08-Jan-16 12:48:27

I wear a tinted moisturiser from Bobbi Brown. I think it's Alabaster.

karalime Fri 08-Jan-16 12:53:10

I'm quite pale and now I realise that the issue I have is not so much finding one light enough, but one that has the right under tone for me.

Others here have suggested Bobbi Brown but when I went there, everything looked orange on me! Same with Mac, Rimmel etc.

Otoh I went to Estée Lauder and their second palest double wear is perfect for me.

Max Factor creme something shade 40, or l'oreal infallible in porcelain. The loreal one is marginally paler.

Sephora do a foundation that's almost white with silvery tones instead of golden ones. It's gorgeous.

MitzyLeFrouf Fri 08-Jan-16 13:12:04

I use By Terry too. Not cheap though!

LillyBugg Fri 08-Jan-16 13:13:36

I use no7 and used their colour match service thingy. I can't afford super expensive make up so Boots it is. I was pleased when I needed shade 2 and not 1 grin

Ninkynonkrinkydonk Fri 08-Jan-16 13:15:55

No7 lift and luminate foundation. Their colourmatch thingy said I was the lightest shade. I think it's called calico.

CainInThePunting Fri 08-Jan-16 13:24:48

I too used the Boots colour match thing, I asked for a light foundation with an SPF.
I was recomended No7 Stay Perfect super light foundation, spf 15, in Cool Ivory.
I use a brush and blend it in well.

SpecialistSnowflake Fri 08-Jan-16 13:35:02

Boots No7 Calico for me too. It matches my skin tone perfectly so I'm happy to call off the dogs and stick with that.

The only product I've ever tried which was actually too pale was Nars Chantilly concealer.

FrustratedFrugal Fri 08-Jan-16 13:38:18

All regular foundations sold in shops are too dark on me, and often a bit too pink or yellow as well. It took me years and years to find foundations that match me. My go-tos: mineral foundation, Lily Lolo in Porcelain and China Doll, and Korean Missha BB cream #13 and #21. When I'm "tanned", Dr Jart Premium BB cream matches my skintone perfectly. Missha M Signature BB cream in shade #13 is the palest foundation I own, nearly ivory white, and actually too pale for me (I mix it with others to get a great match). I'm pale and neutral/cool-toned, MAC NW5-10. I added a swatch pic I took last summer just in case.

Leviticus Fri 08-Jan-16 14:04:28

Nars. I tried the By Terry one and loved it but it's £75!!

TreacleFiend Fri 08-Jan-16 14:24:09

Lily Lolo China Doll. It's a good match for me. Their Porcelain shade is even paler.

Runningupthathill82 Fri 08-Jan-16 14:30:04

Benefit - ivory Believe In Me.

KwickNC Fri 08-Jan-16 14:30:41

Charlotte Tilbury 'pale'

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal Fri 08-Jan-16 14:35:42

Urban Decay NAKED skin foundation in 0.5. It's got to be the most "neutral" foundation I've found, but the coverage is quite light.

Often it's difficult to find foundation which is pale enough, and has the right undertones. A lot of them seem to be very orange, as you say.

MAC NC15 is a good pale shade, but it's annoyingly inconsistent amongst the different products they sell, so definitely try each one in advance.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely Fri 08-Jan-16 14:51:51

Bourjois healthy mix. The palest one, or loreal lumimagic in, I think, rose ivory. The most important thing for me is finding I've with pink rather than yellow undertones, which never fail to turn orange on me.

WipsGlitter Fri 08-Jan-16 14:56:13

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer - not totally sure about it though.

onemouseplace Fri 08-Jan-16 14:58:41

Chantecaille Future Skin in Alabaster.

SparklyTinselTits Fri 08-Jan-16 15:05:38

Lily Lolo mineral powder foundation in Porcelain.
The only one I've found that doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a mask. It's described as having "balanced undertones" whereas most pale foundations have pink undertones which tend to make me look orange

wonkylegs Fri 08-Jan-16 15:08:01

Another one for Bobbi brown - alabaster or porcelain.

MrsCrabb Fri 08-Jan-16 15:11:30

Lily lolo actually make one that's too pale for me and that's unheard of. You can buy testers from them very reasonably.
