wedding guest outfit - winter

I'm invited to a wedding (friend of dp) - it's in February so likely to be cold (church wedding) and I'm really not sure what to wear.

I'm size 18/20, autumn colours, suit v-necks but can get away with cowl necks in this weather.

I thought about a knitted dress of some kind, but it would have to be quite long or go with my long black boots (to cover my legs).

Ideally I'd like something to go with one of the warm/smartish jackets I already have (in either cream, red/cream or charcoal).

Does anyone have any suggestions?
