I've been looking, but mostly not buying. I have ordered these shoes from Seven Boot Lane, but that's all so far.

Anyone got any bargains to recommend?

SuperScribbler Thu 31-Dec-15 09:35:55

Well that didn't work! I'll try again. These shoes:

I'm well pleased with my bargains this year, I've purposely gone for either things I've wanted/needed for ages or good quality basics (God I sound like a fashion blogger blush) that are reduced.

My haul so far:
- Metallic black Ash Virgins reduced from £120 to £50 grin Have wanted these for so long!
- Charcoal cashmere v-neck half price in TK Maxx
- Berry cashmere snood
- 2 pairs of Next Lift Slim and Shape jeans - find these very flattering and comfy
- Flat brown distressed (ie not all new and shiny looking) leather Chelsea boots
- Teal heart print tulip shaped dress - bit tight but I'm doing the dangerous thing and planning to slim into it!

I'm also on the look for a nice cardigan (know these are loved on here!) or not too structured jacket for weekends to stop me chucking on shapeless hoodies because they're comfortable. And a sweatshirt of some kind, maybe with a slogan but not a naff one. And some sunglasses but the ones I want aren't reduced. And I've fallen in love with some dark purple Converse but I really don't need any more. May well pick up a few bits in the Hush sale when it starts too although I'm sad they don't do their Henley dresses any more as I live in them for work.

Think that's it smile.

Oh I forgot about a black printed dress from FatFace £15 from £40, great bargain!

Nettletheelf Thu 31-Dec-15 10:03:01

Are you a prison warder, Scribbler???

I am your polar opposite, shoe wise. I have bought these from Net a Porter:

www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/567193/jimmy_choo/myrtle-camouflage-print-nubuck-sandals

They are gorgeous.

I am also looking out for reductions on those Sophia Webster insect boots that Brenda hates.

Nettletheelf Thu 31-Dec-15 10:04:41

Just realised, Scribbler's shoe photo is cut off at the toe, making them look like the shoes worn by 'the freak' in Prisoner, Cell Block H (1980s version).

Ha ha ha. Hums "On the outside the sun still shines..."

Love the preppy look myself: crisp shirts, cashmere jumpers, loafers, brogues, blazers.

puppydogmummy Thu 31-Dec-15 10:23:40

Undies from M&S! Two sets bought just keeping my eye open for pants n bra in my size in another set. Feeling a bit fugly at the mo so these might cheer me up lol

TheMightyMing Thu 31-Dec-15 10:26:41

Got my eye on a few Baukjen items, I managed to get a nice leather skirt and coat on e bay brand new with tags just before Xmas. Also a few things from Pure Collection, though I am a bit peeved to be spending £100 and not getting free p and p - might speak to them about that first.

I've had a massive chuck out and am keeping my wardrobe to neutral classics , leather skirts and trousers, wool jumpers, plain t shirts etc. I find that I always have something to wear doing it this way.

Tan boots and red jumper from New Look - bargain at £14 total!!!!

Stripe top from Mango.

Grey skater dress
Swan print top

Also an Ego hairdryer!

Need jeans now

Joneseygirl77 Thu 31-Dec-15 13:50:58

Twenty where did you get your ash Virgin bargains from? I'm after these and that's a good discount!

Saurus72 Thu 31-Dec-15 14:32:08

Have spent a lot..!

Mulberry mini lily in pale pink (LOVE)
Jigsaw shirt dress
2 pairs of Kin by John Lewis stilettos for work (navy and black). These are the only stilettos I have found that actually stay on my feet so hurrah for that.
Jaeger outlet merino wool jumper and beautiful black linen shirt dress for the summer. They were £23(!) each, so they are my best bargains so far, both are for work.
Have also ordered silk leopard print dress from Jaeger that is being delivered thus afternoon.
Monsoon plain cream 70s-ish top.
Massimo Dutti tunic top - returning, looks awful.

TwentyOneGuns Thu 31-Dec-15 14:47:17

Jonesy they were from John Lewis, only pair left and actually in my size! This was in store though, they're sold out online unfortunately although maybe worth looking out for returns.

This is EXTREMELY extravagant for me but my MIL gave me a large sum of cash for Christmas and as I want to do the whole capsule wardrobe thing I have fully embraced it and have gone for the above staple items

TheWeeBabySeamus1 Thu 31-Dec-15 16:11:54

I got a few goodies in the sales but the one I'm most proud of is a pair of khaki green trousers from New Look - £3!!! Last pair left and in my size. And they actually look good ☺

AppleSetsSail Thu 31-Dec-15 16:16:03

I got one of the Gap cashmere jumpers BNWT on Ebay for £35! I was very pleased with myself.

I think I want some black leather leggings.

Love that turtleneck, Fizzy.

I have failed. I want a new parka but can't find one I like. sad

MyFriendsCallMeOh Thu 31-Dec-15 16:23:09

jaeger coat reduced from £325 to £75. I buy a jaeger coat every year, the reductions and quality are amazing.

JaceLancs Thu 31-Dec-15 18:15:35

Lost my earlier thread so will join in with this one instead
I finally found my perfect coat in jaeger outlet for £75 too - I am so happy!
Just need the black cashmere cardigan at right price now......

These Clarks Hamble Oaks which were 50% off. They're in the metallic pewter.

They arrived today and the family think they are HIDEOUS.

In fairness, they are very masculine and also very very metallic (far more than I expected tbh) and I think the combo is too much for some. I can see how they are simultaeously both horrid and FAB.

Keeping them anyway as they're suprisingly comfy and I think they'll look great broken in and a bit creased. Just have to figure out what type of jeans work best - they can look a bit boat-esque if not balanced properly.

Annarose2014 Thu 31-Dec-15 19:21:08

They actually looked more like this out of the box. A bit alarming! Hopefully they'll dull down a bit.

Annarose2014 Thu 31-Dec-15 19:21:40

Oh a pic would be good.....blush

butteredbarmbrack Thu 31-Dec-15 19:29:35

Camper boots £95 down from £160. I splashed out about £100 on a similar style about 12 years ago after some persuading from DH as it was way beyond my usual spend level. But they've been a mainstay every winter since, only now wearing through on the sole this year (style I have would be tricky to do a repair on). Reckon if I get another 10+ years then the new pair will be a real bargain!
