Pls help find my poor mum a new bag

Mum had a handbag that I bought for her, it was leather, coral colored and from Monsoon. I bought it just over 2 years ago. Sadly, the bag was stolen from her a few weeks ago whilst she waited for a taxi and she's devastated.

I asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said just another bag, like the coral colored one she had Sad.

Monsoon don't do them anymore and I am really struggling to find another bag like it. I gather that coral is not really an 'in' color at the moment, so I will struggle, but I truly believe in the power of Mumsnet to find one, if it exists.

Many thanks.

What's your budget? And what style of bag, or will any shape/size will do?

Thanks DinosaursRoar. No budget really, but not designer prices. Top end high street, i guess.

Oh, and it should be quite big

Do either of the radley ones work? Not found much coral elsewhere...

That's really nice! A bit pricey but would be great to see a smile on her face. I'll send her the link. Thanks Dinosaur.

Sorry, just seen it's probably too "top end" in price.

If she's consider more orange or pink, yoox.com has some lovely ones at a great price.

Try Hotter. They mostly make shoes, but do bags in colours to match their shoes and sandals.

I recently got a great, in new condition, red leather Hotter tote on E Bay for a fraction of the price.

Just looked at Hotter web site. A £65 bag in what they call dark pink and a sale shoulder bag in raspberry for £12.50! Both leather. Might suit?

Try TK Maxx

What a bastard. I hope they catch the offender.

What size feet does your mum have? Only I have a pair of coral shoes I've never worn, size 5, if she would like them I'd be happy to post them off to you. (I realise you are asking about handbags but the offer is there).

That's so kind of you, G1veMeStrength. She has larger feet, but that was very sweet of you to offer.

I am wondering if it is worth contacting Monsoon in case they have any still hanging around… I doubt they will. But I will try.

That's a good idea OP - I once did that when my favourite sunglasses broke, Fabris Lane sent me a new pair even though they were from a previous season and no longer available.

Oh really GreenPotato? That's encouraging.
