Help me find some jeans that actually fit

I'm struggling. I'm 5'5 and I'm definitely a pear shape, so have a narrow waist and wide hips. I've been exercising regularly for about 6 months, so I'm pretty toned (and have a reasonably flat stomach). I've lost bulk (even though I weigh the same). Ideally I'd like some dark blue skinnies.

Can anyone suggest where I should be looking?

I've tried: Gap (too much material around the waist), River Island (regular too short, but long too long), Next (only go down to size 6 - which is too big).

What's your budget like?

Some of the very big department stores will do a jeans consultation. But then you're likely to be recommended something pretty expensive.

Narrow waist and wide hips sounds like maybe the levis "bold curve" would be worth a try.

I'd probably pay up to £80-£100 for a pair that actually fitted properly. I don't often spend much money on clothes, but these days I do actually have disposable income.

I was going to say Next Slim'n'Lift are actually Bag'n'Sag.
I bought a pair after months of not being able to wear anything round my abdomen (scars) but even though they have a high waist and two buttons, if I don't wear a belt they do the creeping down over my bum thing hmm

You could try J Brand, a premium brand. Usually costs about £200 but loads of styles on TK maxx website for £60. They do a size 25 waist which is pretty small.

Or you could go for a jeans consultation either at a department store or a specialist jeans shop (trilogy or Donna Ida). Find out what suits you and then buy cheaper from the US (revolve clothing / eBay) or TK Maxx.

I love hollister, and Abercrombie jeans. I wear a 24 waist and the fit is lovely. (Next sizing is ridiculous isn't it)

Have a look at Salsa. They are particularly good at jeans for pears.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to have to investigate where I can find some of them (not blessed with many shops here).

The house of fraser website have a reasonable selection but it's hard to buy jeans on the net. Expect plenty of returns.

What about getting a pair from Debenhams. They have a fab range

I have to say after years of binning their catalogue I bought these www.baukjen.com/uk/shop/baukjen/trousers-and-jeans/freja-super-stretch-skinny-jeans-indigo.htm and I now live in them - super comfortable. I am 5'5", fairly curvy size 12. When they arrived I thought they looked absolutely minute but they stretch incredibly well. I love them.
