Going to an evening wedding today. Church service then reception.

I have a black velvet dress I look and feel amazing in...

Or a blue dress I feel ok in but tbh I feel so meh in it.

Black shoes and tights to go with both.

Can I wear all black to a wedding? I don't really know anyone but my partner... I can't get to a shop to get something else.

Could you maybe wear a coloured blazer or jacket or even jewellery and clutch to lighten it up?

I really wouldn't wear black to a wedding.

Not that people would comment to you about it at the do. But it's very much frowned on by many people. It's not all about you. Wear the blue.

It's not been frowned upon for many years now! Weddings are so much more relaxed now with dress codes.

Fantastic! I really don't think it matters to an evening do. One of my guests wore a long white dress to the evening part of our wedding. A few people were very Shock. I couldn't have cared less as long as everyone had fun what they wore.
