Im size 16 so no skinny minnie, but fancy a pair to wear with brogues and a cashmere sweater. No black or navy maybe grey or brown would be nice and hopefully flattering too smile

Excellent question, OP.

I find them easy to find in summer fabrics, but really hard in winter.

I found some in esprit www.esprit.co.uk/womens-trousers/stretchy-wool-look-flared-trousers-095EE1B046_401#!ThumbMainView.

They are nice flannel-like material, so hope they are warm. They also have them in brown, but they didn`t look as good on me.

They also have some other wide leg trousers on the site.

Can I put in a request for summer, natural fabric trousers too, please? Going to look at some of those ASOS ones further, see if any come in long length.

I know! Katherine Hepburn is my style idol and it's all bloody cropped skinnies round here. I want lovely wide legs (not flares)

Boden (I know, I know) do some nice looking ones in wool. Bought some similar from them a few years back and they were a good fit for my curvy pear shape.

Jaeger Outlet had some silk ones last week, very glamourous.

Marking place for ideas. Would such trousers work on an apple?

Yes, I have designs on both pairs myself - or would have if I hadn't also sworn off clothes buying sad

If you're after real vintagey Katherine Hepburn wide legs, this site is good. Very high waisted though so need a cropped or nipped in waist to work.

Everyone's probably gone now but came back to share these that I spotted today - I've never ordered from Finery but there are a few bits that look interesting.
