Morning!
I'm in the minefield of deciding which Lumea to get, there are so many! Shock
I've just been looking on the boots guide and it looks like there's only the 2008/11 that you can use on your bikini. Is this right or can u use any of them there and this is just a way of whacking the price up on that one?
Thanks Smile

I have the one for face and body, not the special bikini attachment and I mostly use the face bit on my bikini line just because it's smaller so easier to get it to flash on awkward areas. It worked brilliantly on my bikini area and was one of the first areas I saw a big improvement, in fact I've not done my bikini line at all since my summer holiday and it's still hair free whereas i've had to do top ups on other areas. So, in my experience, no, you don't need to pay extra for the bikini line attachment.

That's great thank you Smile
Do is the attachment just so it's easier for a smaller area? It isn't about the intensity? Also do you just do the bikini or take off a bit more around there? Is it safe to do more?

Intensity is the same, just a different sized attachment because all the edges need to touch skin before it will flash so some areas are much easier with the smaller one. You can use it anywhere that is 'skin' but not 'pink' bits! iykwim

I'm thinking of the 1999 model, does anyone have any opinions on this model? Boots seem to be the cheapest for this model atm

I've got this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00GGKCQJQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?qid=1447714519&sr=8-11&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=philips%20lumea&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

No special attachment, but you can use it on the bikini area. After 3 treatments I'm starting to notice a real difference!

After some research, I got the SC2006 from Boots which was £450 but they had £100 off electricals and I Googled "boots discount code" and got another 10% off, so it was about £315 plus boots points. It's black Friday tomorrow, so there may be good deals.

Both me and then the db have had excellent results down there iykwim after 4 weeks. I think we used it everywhere it said not to but had no ill effects. It is very well made and solid but could do with a hard case. There are buttons all around the light window in the head that all have to be pressed against your skin for it to fire, so having a small head helps in those awkward curvy areas. I couldn't bear power level 5 too close in...it feels like being flicked by an elastic band and you get the smell of burning hair! It's a bit of nightmare remembering where you have/haven't zapped.

No regrets...buy one before you go grey and it doesn't work so well!

I'm very tempted to get one of these. At the moment I epilate my legs, as I find waxing too painful. How does the pain compare to epilating?
