What is this unusual perfume I should have bought in Duty Free? Very few clues, sorry!

I want one of the MN perfumistas (or indeed someone who works in Duty Free) to tell me the name of this perfume I should have bought about a year ago in duty free. Here are the (laughably few) clues. You will indeed be a perfume genius if you know what I'm on about. grin

1) As I said, on sale in Duty Free, possibly Heathrow.

2) I'd never seen the range before, and I mooch around Duty Free a lot. My memory from talking to the assistant was that it was a newish range for them. Definitely not your standard Chanel, D & G, Hermes etc etc.

3) Descriptive quirky fragrance names eg Smoke and Leather (feeling a bit Jilly Goolden now grin)

4) I think the range was someone's full name, and possibly a woman, but v wobbly on this detail.

5) Quite masculine packaging. Almost certain the range was unisex.

And over to you...

Tom Ford has a perfume called Tuscan leather?

merrygoround51 Tue 10-Nov-15 15:11:45

Aerin ?

Angelina321 Tue 10-Nov-15 15:13:33

I would have said something by Tom Ford too

dontpokethebear Tue 10-Nov-15 15:15:29

Jo Malone?

MelanieCheeks Tue 10-Nov-15 15:19:24

There are some Chanel ones that I've only ever seen in duty free - I quite fancied the Sycamore one. Hang on I'll see if I can link....

squoosh Tue 10-Nov-15 15:19:50

Must be Tom Ford. His have names like Tobacco, Suede etc.

MelanieCheeks Tue 10-Nov-15 15:21:11

Was the person's name Les? Surname Exclusif? wink

squoosh Tue 10-Nov-15 15:24:51

I love Sycomore, I'm always buying samples of it!

TonyMaguire Tue 10-Nov-15 15:29:22

Definitely not Tom Ford, sorry.

Arf at Melanie. I like the sound of the Sycomore one.

The names were slightly more eccentric than the Tom Ford ones. Sorry, I know I'm not being helpful. grin

Was it Demetier? They have fragrance names like gin and tonic and laundromat.

nothingwittyhere Tue 10-Nov-15 15:35:43

Miller Harris?

squoosh Tue 10-Nov-15 15:36:02

Or what about 4160 Tuesdays

TonyMaguire Tue 10-Nov-15 15:41:28

Don't think it's Demetier, I remember the packaging wasn't so pharmaceutical.

Ooh, it's the same sort of thing as 4160 Tuesdays, but I don't think that's it.

Yoghurty Tue 10-Nov-15 15:47:45

Jo Malone? My scent of hers is Peony Blush Suede. The bottles are square clear glass with cream labels, black writing. Any help?

AuntieStella Tue 10-Nov-15 15:48:58

Could it be Shay and Blue?

TheSpottedZebra Tue 10-Nov-15 15:51:04

Not one of these is it?

TheSpottedZebra Tue 10-Nov-15 15:52:17

Are the quirky names, names of fragrance notes? Or are they odder than that?

whatlifestylechoice Tue 10-Nov-15 15:53:36

Serge Lutens?

TheSpottedZebra Tue 10-Nov-15 15:53:29

Or Juliette has a gun ?

Sansoora Tue 10-Nov-15 16:07:53

Could it have been this range

Sansoora Tue 10-Nov-15 16:10:38

sorry - entered too soon
