Hoping someone can tell me if there is a thread for those of us who are "Autumns" as in Colour analysis. Thanks.

Haven't seen one for ages. You found anything good? There's some nice Boden scarves on eBay & lots of colours in h&m & gap

Thanks for replying evelynj. I have seen a lovely plum suede bag in Next and have just bought a purple/plum waxed cotton parka from Indigo. Chose the coat because the colour really lit up my face so have looked into my colours and want to start building my wardrobe up.

Sounds good. Have you been 'draped'. If so, who by & how long ago? I have the colour & style day combo with house of colour about 18 months ago.

Loving the whole thing, although there are some colours not in my palette that I'm now accepting, like navy & grey. Wouldn't really wear clothes not in my style now though.

Have you been on any of the Facebook groups? A lot of US talk about sci-art I think it is where they discuss tones & depth of colour & contrast which makes sense. I just wish all my friends would buy into it so we can discuss & swap things!

No I haven't had them done evelynj. I met a lady who was in charge of the HOC colours in my area and she brought a lady in to meet me whom she was training. (I have a little boutique) To be honest, the way these ladies were put together really put me off. I know I am an Autumn though. Freckles, warm skin tone, dark green eyes with gold flecks, very light warm blond hair.

I'm an autumn but haven't seen a thread here for awhile. Not going to did out my swatches but I didn't think plum was an autumn colour, I know burgundy isn't.
I still wear a bit of white and blue jeans. But everything else is autumny.

Thanks Karcheer. Im pretty sure plum is an autumn colour and also plums fall of the tree in Autumn. :) Burgundy and plum are autumn colours on the colour charts I have looked at though.

Burgundy is sometimes called ox blood I believe. I am looking over some old threads for Autumn at the moment. Shame it stopped. Looks really helpful for showing off your purchases.

For hoc plum isn't an autumn colour as it has too much blue in it (red is the middle colour & autumny Reds are more orangey or browny), although I think plum can suit-it does land in autumn in some of the other analysis companies.

I've changed most of my jewellry from silver/white gold & platinum to yellow & rose gold. And love hoop earrings again which I hadn't worn since a teenager. My style is natural romantic. I find it interesting to look at the style of people who are in your style category too-for me, Kate winslet, nigella Lawson

Would like to try some of the other analysis just to see if they pick the same star colours for me. If I was skinny & rich I'd be out a fortune-luckily
I'm neither ;)

Yes, the threads were really great for a while but super quiet of late. If you like red lipstick, (the best part of all for me is discovering I suit bright red lipstick), I'd revoked the bourjois red 01 & Mac lady danger, or Tom ford ginger. Would like to find a perfect blush-bourjois peachy cream pot is good.

Thanks evelynj I stand corrected on the plum issue then :) I discovered red lipstick this year and it really makes my skin look amazing. I use bourjois blushers and have a lovely warm peach one at the moment. My original hair colour is dark wam brown but I have been very light warm blond for years and years and this does change some colours I can wear.

Can we keep this one running? No matter how often I posted or watched the other thread I always lost it.
Blod this is definitely the right time of year for shopping sprees.

I used to be head to toe in black, now I'm greens, browns, creams etc, so lovely to grab anything from my wardrobe and it all sort of goes together.

I would love this thread to keep going Silver. I need all the help I can get I think.

Ooh, another recommendation for dresses is lindybop if you like the style-they're good value & lots of autumn colours. I wore this to db's wedding

Another Autumn here. Since I've lost a couple of stones my wardrobe has reverted back to how it was pre weight gain, with lots of greens, teals, reds, oranges, greys etc. A bit like odfod's. They hang in colour order too :-) I am loving wearing the colours I know suit me best (had found myself in black mostly which obviously isn't good but it became my "uniform"!). I would like some lipstick suggestions as I tend to stick to nude colours. I have quite big lips lol and don't seem to have the confidence to draw attention to them; perhaps I've just tried the wrong shades of red.

In terms of style I'm casual.

That is gorgeous evelynj. Really lovely colours. Unfortunately not my style though. Bet you got lots of compliments.

Good to see an autumn thread back again Smile. Have recently been on a shopping spree for a new job and I'm really enjoying having clothes that I can mix and match: lots of teals, chocolate browns and all sorts of greens. Have also ventured into mustard yellow and copper, which I never wore before I went to HOC. I'd love to add some red, but am never sure what an autumn red looks like, so if anyone can enlighten me that would be great. The same goes for 'marine navy' which is the autumn navy. My HOC consultant said it is notoriously difficult to find.

I'd recommend trying some of those lipsticks-you can try some in boots & then usually order cheaper on eBay for Rimmel, maybelline 'in love with ginger' is nice & darker but nice, (poss too dark for autumn?) is revlon really red. Another tip is try them at home-use lip liner to make it neater & take some selfies-& review them later. Take a no lipstick pic first & flip between the 2-I find this made me realise I look better in lippy

I did get compliments on the dress but basically good style & colour for me so even a really cheap dress looked better than an expensive but wrong one.

I'm an autumn, but have never been able to wear red lipstick. Also plum/burgundy etc looks good on me (along with greens, browns, teal etc). Do I have it wrong?

Also I'm looking for chocolate brown jeans/trousers and a v-neck jumper. Has anyone seen anything promising?

That is a lovely tomato red evelynj. I usually look for warm sun in the colours I choose but more often than not come away with nothing. I have a red cardigan/jacket in that red which really makes my skin lovely so that's a start. I have been living in black and navy but have been feeling a little washed out lately. Trying and buying the plum coat the other week and seeing how it lit up my face compared to black really got me thinking.
Pupsiecola I too was wearing the black but have recently lost weight and it has increased my confidence and now want to increase my wardrobe. I really have too many dull colours that don't suite me at all.
Itscurtainsforyou I also want some brown jeans. Next did a lovely pair years ago but haven't seen any for ages.
I also love orange and it loves me back. Gosh, why did I not do this years ago. Confused.
Im so glad that there are some switched on colour experts on here.
