Strapless dress with small boobs?

I have acquired an amazing strapless dress which is pretty much perfect for an upcoming event I am attending

The dress is strapless, fits perfectly on hips & waist but because I only have small boobs (A cup) it doesn't quite sit right at the top and sort of stands away from my body if that makes sense (by about an inch).

It is well made & boned so no danger of it slipping down and exposing me but I just wish it fitted me a little better at the top

From a distance it looks stunning (no point in false modesty Grin) and will look good in photos etc it is more just if I'm in conversation with someone they may notice the gap

I only have one bra which will suit due to the dress having a low back and can't really afford to invest in new underwear just for this one occasion, so the options are:

  • chicken fillets of some description
  • try to alter it
  • just wear it and sod the gap!
  • wear something else (but I have nothing that comes close to how spectacular this dress is!)
  • any other advice??

Can you post a picture? I am completely flat chested and strapless looks awful on me. But I am also broad shoulders and bony so not a great combo!! OI see them on others though and think how nice they look.

You can't really see the gap on the photo very well!

You do look stunning. I'd wear a very padded strapless to fill the gap.

I had chicken fillets for my wedding dress which was strapless. Worked amazingly well.

I would safety pin it to see if altering it would work.
Amazing dress!

Great dress. Before I saw the pic I thought "just don't wear a dress that isn't right for your body shape" but that really is stunning. Worth investing in chicken fillets or a new bra I'd say.

That dress is amazing! Can you have to top taken in to reduce the gap? Just a bit from each side seam? Or as pp said, may be a really padded Bea to fill the top?

Thanks all
Think I'll start off my seeing if a few well placed safety pins sort out the problem and if that doesn't do the job then I guess I'm going to have to invest in a new bra - thanks for the link putcustardonit (love your username btw!) x

Have you measured yourself following this guide? If you're in the wrong size bra (I've only ever met one person is a true A cup) then you're not going to get the correct shape and lift. A properly fitting bra (possibly padded) could really help with this dress.
