Anyone use babyliss big hair?

I have a lot of very thick hair. Its well-behaved though! just takes ages to dry and straighten it. I'm wondering if a babyliss big hair might be an idea. I obviously don't need volume but I do need the smoothness and maybe this would be a way of getting it in one go without using dryer and ghds. I don't want to shell out for one and then find its rubbish though (pity you can't try before you buy!)

Does anyone with lots of thick hair use it and find it good?

I use it - I have thick hair though and I find it incredibly time consuming to just use that. So I blow dry first with a 2200 Watt hairdryer.

I don't use the Babyliss daily, only for special occasions.

PS you can try before you buy if you get it from QVC, they are great like that.

I have very long thick hair and bought one the other day.

There is no way I could completely dry my hair with it and it's hopeless at putting volume into dry hair, but if the hair is just damp and you follow the tutorials on youtube then it can add volume.

I also managed to burn my face with it though!

I use it. I got it when I had long hair and it kept getting tangled. Now I hav a chin length bob I use it a lot. You are meant to have your hair 80% dry before using it.

I have one. I've got longish fine hair, but lots of it. Although it's good for straightening out my hair, I found that after using it for a month or so, that I had an awful lot of split ends which I don't usually get. I think that it's because the ends of my hair ended up next to the hot barrel and there for a while, making it dry and damaged and causing splitting. I've gone back to my usual dryer now.

I have one and I bloody love it. I dry my hair around 85% and then finish it in sections with the big hair. My hair is long, thick and layered, and it always looks fab when I've used it. I don't need volume, I just use it to get a style, and while it doesn't give you the sleek, shiny, uber-straight finish you'd get with straighteners, I feel fab with bouncy hair. I'd genuinely be lost without it.

I have very thick hair and I love my BBH! I always get asked if I've just been to the hairdressers when I've used it.

Like others I dry it 80% first (with my MN-approved Parlux) and then use the BBH. Or if I've left my hair to dry naturally and feel a bit like a bush I spray some product on and then use the BBH which seems to work well.

I got mine in an open-box return from Amazon so it was only £30 even though it was unused.

Thanks, I didn't realise you still have to practically dry your hair before using it. I need to find someone IRL who has one they'll let me borrow!

I actually have a box of huge Velcro rollers gathering dust in my bathroom so I must dig them out!
