criteria if possible - cami/strappy style

- no lace trimming

-soft not scratchy

dd (9) is in need of some vests fir the winter and I have been unable to find anything suitable in the shops. am also browsing online but I thought I'd ask for assistance too grin

preferably white so can be used under schopl shirts but light colours ok

DeathMetalMum Wed 30-Sep-15 12:02:14

M&S? The only place I will get vests for dd's from. I can't link on phone but they have some that match your criteria.

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 12:03:20

I just came from there and the only ones I saw had the lace trimming.

but I will take another look online incase I've missed it.

thank you smile

Would a boys vest fit? Less lace potential! We've had soft Jersey ones from Asda before, but online has nothing (boys or girls) in a sensible size.

No idea on scratch factor, but tesco?

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 12:18:30

thanks for the link, we have a set of those already. they are ok but a bit "thin" and she prefers the strappy ones as she wears alot of those sleeveless t shirt/vests.

but thanks smile

I'm dreaming of it being cold enough to wear a vest

YetAnotherUserName Wed 30-Sep-15 12:25:09

I used to get vests for my DDs from Sainsbury's - no lace and washed well. I assume they were soft and not scratchy, they wore them without complaint wink

DesertorDessert Wed 30-Sep-15 12:26:05

JL with a touch of punk

DesertorDessert Wed 30-Sep-15 12:26:27

Pink, not punk....

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 12:28:40

Damn both the amazon and sainsbury ones would be perfect if not for the scalloped or lace trim. good prices too.

damn it

thanks anyway flowers

dementedpixie Wed 30-Sep-15 12:29:28

Do they still wear vests at that age?

dementedpixie Wed 30-Sep-15 12:30:24

Well mine didn't but may have graduated onto crop tops by then. Dd wore sports bra style crop tops from asda at that age

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 12:30:46

She wears crop tops alot which are easy to find with no trims grin

But she wants some vests aswell

dementedpixie Wed 30-Sep-15 12:43:17

New look does teen vests strapped vest

dementedpixie Wed 30-Sep-15 12:43:43

Was meant to say strappy

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 12:48:19

That looks the best so far thanks!!! I shall pop in and pick one up and if it fits I'll grab some more.

TheFairyCaravan Wed 30-Sep-15 12:58:08

Next have these, but they're patterned.

DesertorDessert Wed 30-Sep-15 13:15:49

Sorry, hard to see the detail on this screen.
M&co or yet more Amazon

May09Bump Wed 30-Sep-15 13:20:59

Under the boys section - but are plain white, would they do?

Etak15 Wed 30-Sep-15 13:22:59

Asda do strappy style vests too - like crop top style but longer.,default,pd.html

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 13:33:53

the asda ones look good. can't tell on phone if they have the scalloped edging though will have to look on bigger screen.

like the neon ones though in white. they look good.

magicpuppy Wed 30-Sep-15 14:12:41

My dd wears these. She has an aversion to anything lacy or itch and these are lovely and soft

magicpuppy Wed 30-Sep-15 14:13:54

The photo of the ones I linked isn't great but they are plain. No trim around the arms. They aren't strappy though just sleeveless.

mejon Wed 30-Sep-15 14:18:47

They have these in Matalan. Slightly stretchy with no lace. They've got some darker colours in the older girls' section too.

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 30-Sep-15 14:27:18

Oooh those matalan ones fit the bill nicely thank you
