This is totally NOT me, because I rarely do florals, but I'm wondering about it.

Is it nice or is it mother of the bride and frumpsville?

I am size 8-10, 5 3" and late 40s with blonde shoulder length hair. I need upper arm cover and something that's smartish but not evening wear.

I am looking for a figure hugging dress ideally in jersey, at least short sleeves or longer that can be smart casual and also work for some work meetings (my own business and not formal dress.)

link here as yours took me to home page

I am not wild about it but it fits your brief and is not mother of the bride. I quite like it.

It's one of those dresses I'd need to see in RL to get a true feel for the base colour. I'd find it a bit pricey for work though.

I'm not mad keen. I feel like the OTT florals could come over a bit mature and/or cheap irl.

I like the shape though.

I like the dress. I'll reserve judgement on the pattern as I think I'd need to see it irl. Phase eight usually have a lot if similarly shaped dresses so it might be worth a look. I have tried some plain and some patterned. The plain ones tend to show every lump and bump while the patterns are more forgiving.

I've decided against it. Have decided that one from Phase 8 is nicer- it's grey floral with a V-neck and more muted, in a jersey type fabric.

It looks like a sofa.

I dOnt like it. Nothing against florals. I'm currently wearing my yellow floral Dress from Asda (only £14) I do love a bargain Grin. Anyway, that's another story.
However I do think it is the type of dress that could look better on than off. Why not purchase it in any case. Keep your receipt and tags on it. Try it on and upload a pic of your self wearing the dress.
And if you get the thumbs down just send it back. You' ve nothing to lose

My brutally honest gay friend's opinion: it's very 'over 50, still got it, but hiding my bingo wings...'. Sigh. I think a darker plain colour would be younger and more sexy looking and make you look taller. Flowery can be frumpy unless you are under 25 I think.

Fair enough Sazzle!

I ordered this and DH thinks it's great but I think it may verge on mutton /lamb; it's very fitted and shows every curve.

I've looked at damsel on the JL website and ordered one that is £44 reduced- black sleeves and sides and a bluey abstract pattern on the front.
