How can I get rid of fake tan disaster - QUICKLY?!

OK - name change for this as my problem linked to my previous posts would completely out me!

I have had a complete home fake tan disaster! It is uneven and patchy, dark in places and other bits totally missed. It is a horrible colour. I am pretty much a novice, but have got on OK with gradual tanners and a couple of attempts at a tinted fake bake tan, following all the advice and instructions carefully and using vinyl gloves. This time I tried a new brand which was not tinted and you applied with a fabric mitt, hence the bad coverage. My adult DD & her family are coming to stay and I look hideous - she will never let me live it down! Blush

My question is what can I do to get rid of it quickly? I've tried the exfoliating scrub several times. Do I moisturise or not? The problem areas are my arms, hands and ankles. I have pale skin so it looks so obvious.

Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks

Have you got a lemon in the fridge? Cut it in half and rub over the worst bits. Shower after, obv.

If not, try toothpaste, again, rub it into the bad bits. Wash off.

These have helped me in the past, but it may depend on quite how much like a Chesterfield sofa you look Smile

Good luck!

If it's dried enough to darken there isn't a huge amount you can do. St Tropez do a fake tan remover which might make it less vivid but it won't completely get rid. Scrubbing with a flannel can also take a bit of the darkness out, but not much.

Sorry should have qualified, have a hot bath and use a wet flannel.

Sometimes the only thing you can do in this situation is to add another coat! You'll be darker but probably more even covered. New fake tan is hard to scrub off. Few days time it will be easier.

If it's dried enough to darken there isn't a huge amount you can do and New fake tan is hard to scrub off I was afraid of that!
