What's the difference between L&P, Gel, Silk Wrap and Biosculpture?

I find nail treatments totally baffling. I have done loads of research on Google but am still not the wiser. I know that some nail treatments make your nails longer and some just offer a 2-week colour and some (gel?) make your nails very thick, but not sure which…
