Benefit they're real, ticks all the boxes for me just now. I bought it for my weddung and have used it ever since. It doesn't smudge it flake its build able without going all clumpy and although it's nit waterproof it doesn't run in rain or if I have a wee cry!

Benefit Roller Lash for me. Curls my eyelashes, has staying power and waterproof. Just wish they did additional colours alongside the ink black.

I like the Roller Lash too, I got a sample with a magazine a while ago and will purchase. Otherwise I like the Max Factor 2000 calorie one.

Lancôme hypnose is brilliant (near perfect!), really lengthens and doesn't smudge. There's a ysl one that's great too but I'm not sure of it's exact name? If you wanted a reasonable cheapy one max factor false lash effect is good but doesn't stay on as well throughout the day.

I love Too Faceds better than false lashes. I use it everyday

Lancôme definicils I have always loved.

I get some smudging now though so I find I have to switch to EL double wear for work. It doesn't move.

I'm just trying Barry M Lash Vegas in waterproof. So far I really like it, no flaking or smudging at all!

TooFaced Better Than Sex (stupid fucking name but amazing nonetheless).

Max Factor Masterpiece.

RollerLash has grown on me. I hated it when I first used it. I like it for separation/definition but only use it with another mascara for volume.

Max Factor 2000 calorie or Too Faced better than sex.

If you layer them in that order, the result is incredible.

Thanks everyone. I was contemplating the new benefit one, but might look at too faced as well now. I'm asking for it as part of a birthday prezzie, so £20ish is ok, but it's hard to know which ones are worth the money!

I love Younique 3d+ (the new enhanced version) ... really easy to apply and make my stubby little lashes look huge!

Have tried many mascaras over the years, some quite pricey. Keep coming back to 2000 calorie, as mentioned by PP's

My fave is Diorshow

it gets better with age (ie drying out a bit...Grin)

Max Factor 2000 calorie.

Or if I'm skint, George at Asda do one in a bright yellow tube which is pretty much the same stuff.

Ive never tried 200 calories. Might give that a go as well. I've just had a Barry M one, but not been over impressed with it. I've had Dior in the past and liked that, but yet to find the perfect one..... I always believe my lashes will magically grow like in the adverts, but it hasn't happened yet :-(

Lancome Definicils
Benefit Rollerlash
Or most Max Factor ones
All very good indeed.

I like Max Factor Masterpiece and Clump Defy, both have been repurchased several times. Many others have been thrown away after a few goes! Masterpiece Max is sitting in the drawer waiting to be trialled next, I'm hoping for a smidge more oomph than regular Masterpiece.

Boots 17 HD falsifye - so good (and cheap) I bought loads of these for my sister and sis-in-laws and friends. Don't see myself buying any other to try as have found my HG mascara

Mac Zoom waterfast lash.
The original version was a bit smudgy but the waterproof version is excellent and really lengthening.

Masterpiece max
I've tried loads, from cheapo to expensivo. Always come back to this in dark blue

Clinique High Lengths or Lancome Definicils. I've tried Benefit They're Real and found it ok, not as good as I'd hoped.

I quite like maybelline great lash if on a mega budget (about a fiver) but I always use max factor masterpiece max, only a tenner/11 quid and usually in 3 for 2 or you get a free kit or something!
