nose hair on women

I have noticed over the last few months my nose hair is looking more prominent, shall we say Hmm so today when doing my eyebrows I also plucked some nose hair. Surprisingly painless except the odd one which stung a bit. I didn't go overboard with it but it looks noticeably better...and I swear I look 5 years younger!

Why do we not talk about this? I'm only just about to be 35, I was expecting at least another decade before I had to do any of this shizzle. Please tell me I'm not alone? please! just lie if you're feeling kind

I am convinced I look younger and can breath better. I've had a lot of colds recently and just had a google, as I thought nose hair was supposed to protect you from some germs...triangle of death, anyone? GrinShock apparently by plucking my nose hair I may have left openings for bacteria to get into a vein near my brain or.something like that?
So now I'm worried i have doomed myself to a few months of catching every bug going, open sores in my nose and a brain infection. Splendid. But it looks nice Smile

Do you trim yours? Wax it? Pluck it?

Aha yes I'll draw plenty of people in with that trick I expect. Sorry. I name changed for a pic about ten days ago and whenever I try to change back I get an error message, its driving me bonkers, I'd like my old name back really. Although this particular post probably is best kept anonymous Grin

Just trim them with nail scissors. No need to pluck?

I use a nose hair trimmer Blush

It's not that I have a more than averagely hairy nose I don't think Grin But I have wide, notched nostrils (and am tall) so everyone can see up my nose without even trying. Am in 40s now but have used the trimmer for a loooong time.

Nose hair trimmer here too...

I have a (no other way to put this) piggy nose, so although the hairs aren't too bad, everyone can see them, which I find a bit Blush Grin

Thanks for your honesty Grin doesn't it grow back more and sharper with trimming? I'm thinking like leg hair does, is it different? Confused

How do you wax inside your nostrils?

I use a pair of baby nail scissors to trim mine.

Quick question. But do you smoke? I'm a beauty therapist and remove lots of facial hair and it tends to be the smokers in particular who have prominent nasal hair.

When I wax my legs I just stick a bit of wax up my nose and pull it off! Makes my eyes water but I'm really tall so don't want people looking at my nose hairs Grin

I pluck mine.
I love it.

Have pulled out the odd long one in the past but I think I'll trim in future. Waxing nose hair is a new one to me.

I pluck them, can't imagine getting even baby nail scissors up there, must have small nostrils.

Nostril waxing is one of my most popular treatments. If someone comes to me for any other waxing and expresses an interest, I always do them a nostril wax for free and they always add it on to their appointments after that. It's eye watering, and amazing how much hair is up there, and I love it. I started doing my own about a year ago. There are some great videos on You Tube if anyone wants to see how it's done.

I had never considered this before! Isn't it normal to have nose hair? I thought it was only problematic if it started to protrude beyond the nostrils?
