Help! MAC Giambattista Valli range...

Does anyone know which UK stores actually physically have these in, or are they only available in Harvey Nicks, Harrods etc.? I've been trying to explain to my daughter that they don't always stock these things in every single store ('Yeah, alright, but why??' 'The money/sales sums don't always add up' is the summary of my slightly waffly explanation) but is there any way I can find out if this is going to be available outside of the capital, or indeed the US? Rather naively we went to our nearest John Lewis and found that they didn't have them. And yes, I know they've been available to order online for ages, I just prefer to see my make-up before I buy it.

Can anyone enlighten me?

All I can tell you is that I haven't seen it in the Oxford concession yet. It may be one of those annoying MAC collections that sells out five minutes after debuting! Was it released on the 9th here?

Well, I know it was released on the 9th in the States and some blogs were reporting that Harvey Nicks etc. were launching it on the same date, although whether they were ever there is a matter for debate.

I'm cynical about it. I think my daughter needs to know that it's not really available and it's just a way to get people to buy the normal range.

MAC stand alone stores will stock the collections. My Harvey Nichols does too. I bought a few bits from the Reuben and Isabel Toledo collection a few months ago.

Not quite, Cherry. They exist. We just can't get hold of them in the provinces. They are not available to us. Not everyone lives near a Harvey Nicks or a MAC stand-alone store and has the time or energy to queue up from the early hours on launch date. and frankly my daughter needs to find better things to do with her life than that kind of thing

I wonder if it isn't actually out here yet? The UK beauty bloggers tend to be obsessed with the designer collections and I haven't seen a haul on Bloglovin yet.

I just had a quick look on Specktra and according to a poster there, the collection will get its UK release tomorrow, July 16th.

They also stated it would be a Selfridges exclusive. That's pretty annoying but when it happened in the dim and distant past, I phoned the counter there and was able to place an order.
