criteria - not to revealing as I'm a size 14-16

doesn't go all thin and baggy so I have to spend the whole time adjusting.

comfy and as flattering as possible.

nothing to gordy

I prefer bottoms to be shorts to hide my fat butt
I usually go for tankinis however I'm. yet to have purchased one that looks as good on as it does on the shelf and makes me look curvy as opposed to a sack of spuds in unflattering baggy ill fitting components.

reasonable price would he good too Smile

Look at Bon marche! Recently surprised by the swimwear. My sister is a 24 and I said I liked a costume she had on it was from bon marche. Nice thick material, moulded cups for support doesn't go see through and washes well.

Will check that out thank you. We have one locally Smile

I've got this

Contrary to the review on there I find it a good fit. It's thick and well made and definitely arse covering, you order to your bra size so plenty of support.

Thank. you for the link.

I too am long bodied with short legs

I'm 5"7 and unless I buy long tops or tunics things don't tend to meet in the middle.

do you think I'd suffer the same problem as the reviewer?

Bhs are awesome for one piece swimming costumes especially their tummy control ones.

Not at all reasonably priced but absolutely fab: Seafolly

I live abroad and wear my swimsuit a lot and love my Seafolly high leg halter neck though wish I had gone for a more adventurous colour!

I saw my kids playing with sizes and outfits on SIMS, the fat girl with the big legs did look better in the high leg bikini bottoms than the shorts. I tried both and actually, SIMS was right. Do try on lots of styles, you might be surprised what actually looks good. 14/16 is not that big and actually, the shorts might not be the best look. Be brave!!

toffee

all the ones I've owned previously have been bhs. I've not been impressed at all although I've not tried the tummy control ones.

but thank you any way Smile

Look on here too. I had one from here a couple of years ago and had lots of compliments though I am no longer convinced that the extra material around the bottom is as flattering as I thought it was. Again, very expensive!!

I bought this one in the Debenhams sale this weekend. I'm really conscious of my tummy and I found the wrap over detail at the front helps to detract from it better than a smooth one

Sorry.....can't link properly in my app.

I agree with anotherday about shorts. I think a higher leg is flattering as it lengthens the leg and doesn't cut you off at the widest part like shorts would.

I always went shorts to avoid bikini line malfunctions and fir max butt coverage.

I never thought about being "cut off at widest point"

that's a really good tip actually as I do have somewhat stumpy legs

I bought this one recently - it hasn't been to the beach yet but it's flattering on.

I am 5"8' with a long body, and find most swimming costumes too short, and tankinis don't meet in the middle. I had this long length costume from
Land's End. When it wore out last year (6 years hard use!) I replaced it with a Speedo, which is fine, but too short in the body. I will be buying another Land's End long one too.

I find the Debenhams gorgeous dd+ range do very flattering & supportive tankinis. The material is pretty thick & mine haven't gone baggy yet. There's currently a blue x sale on too.
