Those shoes are tragic. They're so mum "fun" shoes.

Argh, that's hideous.

If you really want to see more go of her to Daily Mail and its wimbledon pics - David Beckham is at top.

Skirt is okay-ish, top same but together- hmm. And how does anyone wear those pointy shoes all day????

Compared to ballet shoes they are probably like old slippers ;-)

I love Darcy. Her dad was my dentist.

But of course she does - is anyone surprised at this?

Oh she looks so frumpy in that pic! The black jacket over the light dress, the way she is holding her bag, the hair, all of it Sad and she needs some fake tan on those legs.

She is a bit of a girl crush of mine, so disappointing, Darcey.

The jacket is ghastly- she needed white, pink or turquoise. The sunglasses are terrible, imo, and yes, her shins look all lumpy , bumpy and pale. she always looks so glam on Strictly that this was a shock.

I love Darcy but oh deary me - she looks awful in that pic.
This is the reason I don't buy anything from Boden!

Shes just on the street. She doesnt appear to be attending an event. How awful to be photographed going about your business and critiqued on your day to day clothes. I don't think anyone's wardrobe could hold up under those circumstances. Sometimes it gets cold unexpectedly and people just grab the nearest jacket.

Ah! The woman in the throes of a mid-life -I'm still jaunty-crisis.

If there was ever a woman who could work a pixie it is her. The blonde is doing her no favours-she looks lovely as a brunette. She seriously needs to channel her inner Jean Seberg from Breathless.

That outfit is too stuffy, too garish and too much of a mish-mash. Those shoes need to go back to the shoe of choice for a mother in law at a wedding in the 1980's too. With a nice bit of Jacques Vert thrown in. Bloody Boden.

She doesn't need fake tan either-she just needs to wear colours that actually work for her rather than a palette reminiscent of a vomit in an Easter egg factory.

She is a lovely looking woman.

She looks one step removed from Dame Edna Everage.

The person behind her with the orange t shirts and the awful shorts is really badly dressed. It's not my style but she looks ok.

Apatite1 · 10/07/2015 11:23

Ah. So Boden works for literally no one then. Hideous.

Report
OnlyLovers · 10/07/2015 11:26

She looks like Grayson Perry.

She needs to employ her Strictly stylist for everyday life too.

gobblers- am currently creasing up-you are not alone in that opinion. I have just shown my DH this pic when he asked me what was wrong with Boden ( I got one of their crappy letters in the post just now and I said Johnny Boden could feck the feck off). He had a look at the outfit and said " ooooh! she looks just like that bloke who used to dress up as a woman with the weird specs, you know, what's his name?"

Upon clarifying he did mean Dame Edna, I showed him this thread and he had a good laugh too.

The dress itself is ok and would be fine with a better coloured jacket or cardi over the top. I can't stand the shoes personally and they are instantly recognisable as boden which puts me right off them...and I'm the right age to be their target market.

But she doesn't need fake tan etc when she's not 'on show' as in doing her presenting job on TV. She is allowed to be less than perfect and a pretty normal middle aged mum going about her life. Thank god I don't get photoed whenever I'm out.

Interesting comments, I look at that picture and think that she has a lovely smile.

As for the 'she needs fake tan' comment - why exactly?

How does it make DB look lumpen? How?!

I say that as a person who buys and likes a lot of Boden stuff - the plain, more fitted stuff.

Not surprised she's wearing Boden, though, and alas, it looks like one of their 'fun' range outfits.

Pfft to fake tan! Why should she?
