I've found myself husband-less for the evening, the kids are in bed and I'm at a bit of a loose end.

I was about to do my weekly touch up of the legs epilator session and figured I'd like to epilate the fanj.

will I cry? grin

epilate their fanjo

Ohbollocksandballs Thu 09-Jul-15 20:42:07

I haven't. But the mere thought of it makes me say 'fuck that' shock

Koalafications Thu 09-Jul-15 20:43:41

This is the kind of thing I would do. Results of experiments like this normally end up with me in agony for days and DH shaking his head at me and saying "why did you think that would be a good idea?!"

Itsalldramarama Thu 09-Jul-15 20:44:27

Ouch !!! Can managed legs , touched underarms for a second and howled with pain ... No way would I attempt down there .... Unless under the influence of copious amounts of vodka ;)
A friend did try it but ended up very bruised !!! Get the immac or veet out instead smile

Don't you have to keep the skin taut while epilating? Good luck getting your labia taut!

HelloNewman Thu 09-Jul-15 20:45:38

Yes, but not the labia.

RavioliOnToast Thu 09-Jul-15 20:45:58

I really want a Hollywood, I might get it all waxed off but then keep on top of it with an epilator? would that work? grin

I'm sick.of having to shave all the time! angry

Smartiepants79 Thu 09-Jul-15 20:46:44

I have one word - why??
You can't be that bored.

RavioliOnToast Thu 09-Jul-15 20:47:43

I was going to do my legs, so figured I could ask if anyone was brave enough before I tried it grin

IHaveBrilloHair Thu 09-Jul-15 20:50:01

Yes, have done for years, the growth is so minimal.
It is nippy at first but doesn't hurt at all now.

juneybean Thu 09-Jul-15 20:54:06

I do the sides and part of the outer labia but the closer you get to the inner labia the more it hurts....

Nolim Thu 09-Jul-15 21:01:42

I epilate legs and armpits. I wouldnt do what you are thinking of doing.

pinkfrocks Thu 09-Jul-15 21:06:42

Funny, it's not quite the first thing that comes to my mind when I'm at a loose end. Reading a good book is more fun and not quite so painful.

TinyManticore Thu 09-Jul-15 21:08:45

Christ alive, why would you want to pull out hairs with teeny evil tweezer blades in an area that sensitive? Also, nobody 'has' to shave.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim Thu 09-Jul-15 21:10:19

You could do that, or you could just stick hot pins in your eyes. Probably less painful and damaging.

biffyboom Thu 09-Jul-15 21:14:53

First time I tried i looked like a plucked chicken. A red one. And it's much more painful than anywhere else.

RavioliOnToast Thu 09-Jul-15 21:46:51

tiny, I do it for myself and it makes me feel better. I don't feel comfortable with body hair.

It's taken me 45 minutes to sort the washing out, do the bottles, wash my face and apply my potions, mumsnet, so I think I'll just head off to bed grin I'm not ruling it out for tomorrow though grin grin grin

fatpony Thu 09-Jul-15 22:11:54

Make sure you can back and say how painful it was!

cathcustard Thu 09-Jul-15 22:15:12

Can you give yourself a general anaesthetic as well? You must be mad, it will be agony. shock
Watch tv & have a cup of tea instead.

Seriouslyffs Thu 09-Jul-15 22:25:38

Read a book.

hettie Thu 09-Jul-15 22:28:13

Are you mad confused....I have no idea how this would work. Wouldn't it just chew your flaps up.... Dear God... It doesn't bare thinking about

winterland Thu 09-Jul-15 22:28:25

All the time but not the very inner bits. The rest doesn't hurt at all now. It's very minimal growth.
