Hi ladies

Yesterday I had my hair coloured, I was highlighted blonde so blonde all over (fairly light naturally anyway) and I wanted ombre so hairdresser (has done this style lots and ive seen her work) made it darker through the top and left the blonde through to the ends.

I just wondered what you thought? I quite like it but think it maybe should have started with the blonde through the mid lengths to ends? Rather than so close to the top or was this maybe a better way to do it with me being so blonde?

Looks nice from what I can see, but difficult to tell without seeing the whole hair length.

Take a photo of the back of your head in a mirror, we won't see your face then.

I get that! But I can't even tell how long your hair is from the photos. I'm sure you could use some tool to scrub your features out from a photo.

I know what you mean. I'm getting ombré'd this week,I've got a heavy fringe and I'm planning on asking for the blonde to start where my fringe ends. I think your hair looks lovely but I do understand what you're thinking.

Ok this is my hair, I couldn't find a hide feature so I used a sticker to cover my face. This will hopefully give you a better idea

blueberry yeah like I feel that's where mine maybe should have started but I understand my hairdresser probably done how she thought it would look best and as it grows the blonde will move but next time I'll make sure I ask for exactly that

I think it looks nice, but not very ombréd

It will as it grows though!

Yeah I was thinking like that too noel I probably should have been more specific but this is the picture I showed her how I wanted it similar so she seems to have gone off that. From the back it looks great and probably would look more ombre with no fringe and when it's tied up it definately looks like it

So after leaving my hair a week ive decided I don't like it and am getting it fixed tomorrow?

What should I ask for? I would like to keep it quite blonde though?

Definitely not ombré. I would have some balayage in a slightly darker colour painted through from the crown towards the mid lengths to give a more ombré look.

Have you any pictures to give as an example of what to ask for?

The colour is nice. For ombre there should be more dark on top.so it looks like it's naturally lightened on the ends in the sun.
Pinterest has loads of fab pictures.

Thanks bbq I'll check Pinterest out, I like the dark on the top it's just the blonde is too close to my roots but as I say I would like to keep most of the blonde

Proper ombré fades from roots to tips and looks like it's been naturally done by the sun. You can also get reverse ombré that gets darker from roots to tips. This is a good pic.

It looks nice but it's ombré. You do have quite short hair though which makes it difficult to do

See that's really nice and the dark is similar to what's already on, I would like more blonde than that though

hex how long would my hair need to be for it to work? It's just above boob length but looks longer at the back as I have layers cut in

That's long enough.

I think it's because I don't know what to ask for! I have pinned a few pictures on Pinterest though so hopefully fingers crossed I'll be happy tomorrow!
