Mineral powder recommendations

I have fair skin and hair and I usually use an ivory shade of powder or bb cream as a base. I'm now looking for something to replace that. I need something that will give good coverage and brighten my skin up. I'm thinking something along the lines of a mineral powder which is suitable for everyday use. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks Smile

Lily Lolo is fantastic and they sell samples so you can try before committing to buying a big pot.

I love Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish - it has a little grinder so you only produce what you need so not messy to use. Lovely finish, mid-coverage, not too "done".

I use Bellapierre or Lily lolo in barely buff. Both are great and don't contain those bizmuth chemical things. The lily lolo kabuki brush is also very good, soft but firm and doesn't shed.

Mew -I was wondering if the brush was worth getting, you recommend it then? Better than Real Techniques?

Hiya, yes I have lots of real techniques brushes though not the kabuki from them and the LL kabuki feels very similar but maybe denser. It feels just as soft and good quality. I got mine for £20 in a set with the mini kabuki which is very small and good for blusher. They are both lasting well and easy to clean and dry.

Thanks for your suggestions. I've ordered sample pots of Lily Lolo in Barely Buff and Blondie shades so hopefully one of those will match my skin tone!

I use lilylolo, Blondie. And a real techniques brush to apply it.

I thought they last pack of powder from lilylolo was defective as the powder caked and sat on top of my skin - turns out it was my brush that was crap, not the powder! Blush so i got a new brush and it goes on like a dream now. I only use a little each day, I do build it up a bit thicker for an evening out or special occasion though.

I love Bellepiere. Can wet a corner to use as a concealer, too.
