Next jeans sizing

I bought a pair of slim fit jeans a while back in a 10. Fine. I'm normally a 10ish in most shops. But althought they are great on first wear they go really saggy on the behind and I can pull them down without even having to undo the zip and the button!
However I found them very comfy and a great price, so I went to see if I could get more, but wanted to make sure I got the right size
. Went to Next and found "relaxed skinny". Tried on the 10. Far too big. Thought there was no way I could be an 8 but they seemed a good fit. Lo and behold the same thing is happening so when they are out the wash they are great, but then they go saggy and look awful.
Is there something very weird about Next jeans sizing? I'm definitely not a size 8. I'd like to get some jeans that fit and don't cost the earth!
I have other next trousers in a 10 and 12 so I'm wondering what is going on.

Their fabrics are quite stretchy - and great for me as an apple :o I just wear a belt.

Their jeans are notoriously awful.

Huge sizes and they go baggy and saggy extremely quickly.

I was a big size 14 a week after having DS and was delighted to buy size 10 jeans in Next Grin .

Probably depends on the exact style. My favourites at the moment are Next slim leg 'enhancer' (10 petite) which have a slightly wider 2-button waist and seem to keep their shape well.

They're totally inconsistent- I have one pair size 12, one pair size 14 and one pair size 16!

I bought the relaxed skinny a few years ago. Normally a 10/12 and bought the 10. After the first wear, they were too big. Would not buy again. Try Uniqlo.

I've bought jeans from Next for years. There size 10 used to fit me perfectly. I bought a couple of pars of their relaxed skinnies online, kept them as they seemed ok from quick try on but having been wearing them I actually reread the labels thinking they'd sent a size 16 by mistake. The waists are huge and th e y go so baggy during the first wear after washing that I feel I can't wear them.

I am going to contact then to complain. The difference between them and other size 10s I've bought there is ridiculous.

Next relaxed skinnies were great. Then they changed the fabric and ruined them.

I buy 2 sizes too small (normally a size 8/10, buy a size 6) suffer for a week in too tight Jeans then they stretch and then they're perfect for about a year Hmm don't know why they last a year after the initial stretch but they're the best for me
