Monsoon childrens sizes: Small/Large/just right?

I want to bid on some children's clothes from Monsoon on ebay, but I have this idea that monsoon sizes tend to come up small. I have a very tall DD, and I just want to make sure that she isn't going to get lost in the dresses. She wears a 7-8 or an 8-9 (for John Lewis, where I also find the sizes tiny). Any one have any ideas? Thanks!!

I found them small, especially on DS who is broad. Dresses are more forgiving size-wise but i'd size up for max wear life.

Monsoon is tiny. I need two sizes bigger for dc. Say I buy 3-4 in next I'd get 5-6 in monsoon and. It's the same size if not a bit smaller.

Monsoon does come up very small.

Yes, definitely buy at least the next age group up if not two. My DD is smaller than average heightwise and I would buy one size up to get a years wear out of anything.

I find them small on length but not around the waist. I got DD a skirt in the sale in Saturday and the 3-4 falls down on her (she is tall and nearer 5 than 4). The skirt doesn't have those handy maternity wear style buttons either.

I tried a bridesmaids dress on her in there today and I've gone for the age 5 for length but think I'm going to have to try and get it altered around the chest/waist.
