Wedding Outfit - Matching Accessories?

Please help! I am going to a wedding in September and have bought a cream dress which I love ..... my dilemmia is about matching accessories. My heart tells me to buy shoes/bag/fasinator or hat all in a matching colour whether it be navy, bright pink, lime green BUT my question is should these all match - is this old fashioned now? I'm 47 if that makes any difference. Thanks :-)

I'd say match two of them exactly and have the 3rd in a toning colour.
