Or are they too... Unweddingy?

Too casual. IMO

And this is from someone who doesn't like dressing up.

Depends on the type of wedding really.

ElphabaGreen Sat 13-Jun-15 18:14:08

Depends what's ours thinking of wearing them with really.

Heels99 Sat 13-Jun-15 18:15:24

Yes with a smart jacket shoes and accessories.

DontKillMyVibe Sat 13-Jun-15 18:22:23

Lovely trousers but are like something I would wear to work rather than a wedding to be honest.

blueBooby Sat 13-Jun-15 18:26:53

Hmm OK. Thanks everyone, I'm going to keep looking. I was thinking of wearing them with a smart top of some description (which I realise is a very vague non-descript description).

LaurieFairyCake Sat 13-Jun-15 18:27:16

Yes, with smart navy jacket and accessories.

I think they're lovely.

Oly4 Sat 13-Jun-15 19:14:54

Nope, too casual. But I woudn't wer trousers to a wedding personally

blueBooby Sat 13-Jun-15 21:56:48

Normally I wouldn't wear trousers either but I was thinking about it and I prefer to wear trousers in general so decided I'd do it this time. Now I'm realising it's quite hard to find a suitable trouser wedding outfit!

Funny, I've just been thinking about trousers to weddings since I saw this pic of Emily Blunt and now want to be her

Imo she looks great and I would totally wear somethinf like that to a wedding. It's all about the overall look, not the individual pieces I think.

DownWithThisTypeOfThing Sat 13-Jun-15 22:08:33

I think with a bright bag/heels they could work very well.

ouryve Sat 13-Jun-15 22:13:39

Nope. Another person who wears jeans for everyday smart, but wouldn't wear these for a wedding as they're not quite right. They're just too relaxed, even if you dressed them up with a nice jacket.

Better link, btw - the mobile one is all pixels on a desktop

blueBooby Sat 13-Jun-15 22:15:20

Emily Blunt's outfit there is lovely. When I've been googling for ideas I've seen what Amal Alamuddin / Clooney wore to her wedding and I love that too. It's a trouser suit (and yes I'm very behind the times).

rockybalboa Sat 13-Jun-15 22:16:06

Yes with the right top and some fab heels.

EmmaWoodlouse Sat 13-Jun-15 22:36:10

I think you could, with heels and maybe a smart but slightly quirky jacket.

Magicalmrmistofeles Sat 13-Jun-15 22:51:26

Too casual I think

Cocolepew Sat 13-Jun-15 23:09:08

Yes, they are lovely.

Cancookdontcook Sat 13-Jun-15 23:11:51

Far too casual and non-descript.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty Sat 13-Jun-15 23:14:36

Where is the wedding?

burnishedsilver Sat 13-Jun-15 23:34:40

I think if you style them right you could make it work.

burnishedsilver Sat 13-Jun-15 23:46:12

High heels and a tailored jacket could give you this dort of silhouette...

burnishedsilver Sat 13-Jun-15 23:48:24

Another option would be to look for more of a statement top.

I really like that first pic tarnished. The wedding is in France but just outside Monaco I believe.
