I love to have a special holiday perfume which I then always associate with that place and time.
I'm struggling ot find one for Greece this summer. Any recommendations?

Previous holiday perfumes:

Rome in summer- Cristalle Chanel
Disney world florida- Marc Jacobs Dot.
Andalucia- Orange smelling one from M and S, may have been Roger and gallet?
Florence- Chance
London winter- Coco
Corfu- Bronze Goddess estee lauder

What might be right for a Greek Island this year?
(Corfu was Bronze Goddess but I wasn't wowed overall by this and I want a perfume just for this holiday.)

I love amalfi one by acqua di parma - fresh and coconutty

My holiday perfume was Jo Malone sage and sea salt but found it was a bit too warm smelling for a hot climate so something fresh is a good bet

O de Lancome is green and fresh and gorgeous for hot weather.

Thought of a few more:

Soleil by Fragonard- white flowers but in a fresh sort of way (M and S has the range)
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca- refreshing and clean smelling: herbs, grass, mint
Miller Harris Le Pamplemousse- fantastic grapefruit scent that gets compliments and is perfect for summer.

Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi
Maison Martin Margiela Beach Walk

Seconding the Miller Harris Pamplemousse as well. Or Fleurs du Matin from the same brand.

Fresh Citron de Vigne. London store is 0207 486 4100 (I think)

Info/ reviews (near the bottom of the page) from the US site:

Other gems from them are Sake and Hesperides (the latter is a beautiful citrus).

Actually, Fresh Hesperides might be very fitting (esp if you like grapefruit/ citrus):

Like most of those already recommended very much. Would add Clarins Eau Dynamisante.

Acqua di Parma - Fico di Amalfi. The most gorgeous, summery scent. It is fig and citrus and beautiful!

New Chanel, haven't smelt it yet!
Chanel launches the new fragrance CHANCE EAU VIVE which belongs to the Chanel Chance collection and arrives on the market on June 12th 2015. The collection was started with fragrance Chanel Chance in 2003, followed by versions Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche in 2007 and Chanel Chance Eau Tendre in 2010. The collection is refreshed with new flacon form at the beginning of this year, so the fragrances can also be purchased as 35 ml now.

CHANEL CHANCE EAU VIVE is signed by perfumer Olivier Polge who blends sparkling notes of grapefruit with juicy, explosive red orange, providing citrus splash to elegant jasmine and white musk. Base notes of the composition mix vetiver, cedar and iris, leaving a fresh, gentle, elegant and subtle trail.

Some people love Eau Dynamisante but to me it's instant headache.
Similarly a lot of the newer Chanel scents, eg Crystalle.

Don't know whether they have some ingredient in common. Scents are so individual, however. Please don't let me put you off.

For hot weather, I quite like 'Beau Bow' - I got a sample from Blooms Perfumery. They sell individual testers and also sets of 'themed' ones:

I have Bronze Goddess and am going to stick it on EBay later today as it's not very me.

I also have Fico di Amalfi. It's lovely but a wee bit cloying with the fig. I prefer their Mirto di Panarea and Mandorlo di Sicilia.

Creed Virgin Island Water is a safe bet.

Guerlain Terracotta? Or their Aqua Allegoria range might be worth checking out.

I absolutely hate Eau Dynamisante. Agree with other poster that it's instant headache stuff. So unpleasant and overpowering - not a Summer scent to me at all.

Also OP, here's a Fragrantica thread about perfumes that smell like Greek Islands. Oddly specific but could be the solution Grin .

Aqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi. I think it's meant to remind you of an Italian coastal holiday but the figs and citrus remind me very strongly of being in Greece.
