Gross dry feet

I have thick dry skin on my heels and parts of my toes.
Normal "sandpaper" foot scrubbers simply aren't enough and they laugh in the face of schol moisturising. sad

Anything short of scary scary knife things I can use to get it all off?

I'm a mum who is walking off the baby weight after years working in education if that helps you picture the enormous grossness. Boak.

I've just bought this

and have used it daily for 3 days and have slapped on some Flexitol at night. My feet are now summer-ready!! Honestly-the Scholl thing is amazing.

Soak your feet well in a bowl of soapy water or in the bath/shower then dry well.
Afterwards apply Flexitol to the areas of hard skin as per the instructions, including overnight with socks to bed. Repeat daily until desired level of foot softness achieved. An alternative is to use Vaseline with socks over successive nights.
I learned this all on these boards a few years ago, now do it every start of the annual sandal wearing season and my feet look great once the nails are also done. grin
Hope this helps.

You need a pair of Footner socks, they are magic! Wear them for an hour (even two if you feel your feet need it), wash the solution off and then a few days later the skin starts to peel off the soles of your feet. After about a week you have lovely soft feet! Only downside is that you can't wear sandals during the peeling stages as it looks a bit gross but there's nothing more satisfying than tearing a big strip off skin from your heels and feeling how much softer it is under there.

Footner is hideous: a week of peely misery and finding flakes in your bed. Gross!

Little and often is what you need, OP. Soak, file, cream and gel socks every night and you will soon see the difference.

I use these gel heel socks:

Footner is pretty gross when it's happening but the result is more than worth it. And if you have months of dry skin on your feet then no amount of moisturiser is going to get rid of it. Footner first and then a maintenance routine of filing and foot cream is my recommendation!

Footner is best but don't wash the feet straight after just dry them off. Then next day start soaking the feet daily wear your cotton socks until the grossness is done then voilà baby soft feet

Thanks all.
Will look into footner ... can do trainers for a week to get them ok then might maintain with the electric thingy! grin

I've found Eucerin foot cream- really good and just in a week sorted out my split heels. No scary peeling either!
