I am a similar size and shape. I have a jacket like this that I wear with straght jeans and a top for going out. It's very flattering. Sold out in bigger sizes unfortunately but this type of jacket is in a lot of shops at the moment.

cool jumpsuit with high heels?

Greengardenpixie Sat 06-Jun-15 19:01:56

Are you quite tall? If so, you could wear some nice black widelegs and a nice top?

FauxFox Sat 06-Jun-15 19:02:20

side fastening black cropped trousers
mint velvet tunic top or a black scoop neck T or vest with a pretty kimono
High heeled black shoes or sandals, great make-up, hair and nails and a sparkly smile grin

never put pattern on your fat bits

thats in the bible

DosDuchas Sat 06-Jun-15 19:24:37

agree crop trousers and really cool heels with an ankle strap are a good idea

Mint velvet can e very flattering - do pattened trousers maybe and plain matching tops to minimise the boobs

I need to write this on a piece of paper and wrap it around my credit card

Heyday vintage do some very flattering "swing" trousers and pencil skirts. Although designed for a retro look they're timeless.

I'm a similar shape and my go to is black cigarette pants, black top and one of my various jackets.
Then use jewellery and shoes to make it suit the event.
Fab hair and grooming.

Spanx to iron out lumps and bumps (as long as you don't need to sit down!)?

Don't know your budget but if you are curvy and want to be glam (and one piece dressing) try a Katya Wildman Bombshell dress. Nigella swears by them. And super comfy.

Hope that was a click link

For v chic and flattering ankle skimmers try the Gap tailored cropped pants in black. Love them. Especially if you've got a good selection of heels

The Bombshell dresses are amazing.

If you have a special event like a wedding they really are an investment piece. You feel a million dollars and they are so comfortable. She does smaller sizes - essentially they are for hour glass figures that fashion forgot b

Unless you're into fancy dress
