Great school run dress and white t shirt from The White Company

I never go into The White company, it's been years but i have been really impressed by a few things, i thought I'd share

School run dress

White t shirt

Flattering boyfriend jeans

I'm hourglass, size 12, 5ft 8in. Generous chest and thighs and these flatter beautifully. Their boyfriend shorts are lovely too - just a couple of inches too short for my longer legs. fat thighs

The bedding was lovely too but a bit pricey.

And don't pay full price there's always a code around of at least 20%

I love the White company and buy a lot of their clothes but am generally disappointed with their summer collection this yr. I did get a nice linen vest but their jersey dresses are much thinner this year than previous years and don't hang as well

The dress is ok but would need to be at least 50% off to be worth buying. Why is their stuff so £££?

TWENTY-EIGHT QUID for a white t shirt and £90 for jeans? Crazy

That white t shirt looked really thin too - you could see the top of the waistband of the model's jeans under it. Yuk.

The dress has been reviewed as flimsy and see through but it's absolutely fine, imo.

I struggle to find clothes to fit and i am i just sharing a few pieces that I have found to be unexpected gems and for the fit, they are worth it! I'd love to buy cheaper clothes that fit but it rarely happens!

SRD is short-hand for a go anywhere quickly dress, not specifically for the school run but harks back to the early days of MN where lots of us who have been round donkeys years had toddlers that we would be playing in the paddling pool with but need something to throw on to do the school run, hence the SRD was born.

These days mine take themselves back and forth...well the one that is still at school does

Loaf nice dress

Arf at school run. It takes me 2 mins to throw DD out of the car. I wear the same jeans all week. No-one cares.

Lyocell is made from wood pulp I think.

I gave up on TWC a few years ago because the jersey got so thin and seams kept coming undone. Conversely, we've got TWC kids pj's dating back to about 2006 that are still going strong in their 4th child.

I thought I found the perfect SWD on missguided (of all places!) but it has turned out to be too heavy fabric.

Might make others happy though- I'll post a picture.

I think the clothes look lovely. I do find TWC a bit hit and miss as so much of their stuff is a bit shapeless and agree the quality isn't what it was.

And anyone whose been on here a while knows that the school run dress is just shorthand for an easy to throw on dress.

Nice but well overpriced imo - wouldn't pay more than £20 for that dress - similar in Asda and Sainsbo!

GaryBaldy's explanation of school run dress. In other words, RTFT!

LOL at school run dress. When I did the school run, I drove them in my pyjamas and let them hop out of the car. Now they get the school bus. Hallelujah no more school runs for me.

I really like the dress! I'd order it if I was in the UK.

(I don't do a school run either, but c'mon people - I'm sure you get the idea Confused)

No, Koala it is clearly a very difficult concept and only really to be derided Wink
