Any 6 footers on here and hate it?

No clothes long enough. Dresses make me look slutty because they don't cover my ass so I have to wear too short leggings underneath! Plus the 'wow you're so tall'comments every frigging day!

Hmmm. Feel your pain. I like being tall, but hate that the shops don't cater for us at all.

I have been 6 ft since I was 14, so I don't give a shit about the comments anymore. I even wear heels. And when people stare, I stare back Grin.

Its just the lack of clothing options that gets me down. Its piss fucking poor.

THANK YOU!!!

Seriously, even when they have a tall section, I have to pull the pants up so high to make them look the right length that they always chafe away till they split. Can't catch a break :(:(

A teensy bit under 6ft, hate it sometimes, love it sometimes. If I'm a pound or two over my ideal weight I feel hefty and manly but on or under I feel great in my clothes and wear heels. so shallow I know

Have you tried Hush for dresses? They are so much longer than usual dresses. Also Asos tall & next tall are good. Yeah Umi still definitely not enough of a range anywhere.

Oh yes. My bugbear is sleeve length. Every shirt I wear is 34 length whether I want it to be or not.
Not that I've worn a shirt in years as apparently Tall women don't have big boobs. Every shirt with length is not cut to accommodate my ample norkage.

3/4 length.. the rage has got to my typing!

Aww thank you all so much for your replies :) so so happy I'm not the only one! Sometimes I love it and sometimes I loath it. I sometimes strut around in my best gear and like to think people think I'm a model. Hahaha. Other times I slump around wearing some disastrous, too short, outfit and think people think I am a man in drag. hehehe.

Yes. I cannot buy jeans or trousers. Tall is not a 34 inside leg ffs. I need 36 at least.

And the odd time you find the right lenght the fit seems to be for skinny with no curves. Because tall women obviously don't have hips or arses.

So sick of having to make do with ill fitting uncomfortable clothes.

6ft1 here and a size 18.

Though I'm sure the high street would call me a liar, as apparently that sort of body doesn't exist.

New Look tall is a joke, Topshop is body-fascist anyway, DPs frumpy and cheap...

Boden longer length fits really well but it's EVER SO BODEN.

Also, can we talk about shoes?

Why is it so completely unfathomable to retailers that our feet could be slightly bigger than a 41/42?

strawberry I had given up on Hush as I found their clothes too short, but you think their dresses are a decent length?

I'll have to try again!

I whore around pretty much every shop that in any way caters to us lanksters in a state of desperation. None of them are great. Thats the honest truth.

LTS is frumpsville. I have one maxi dress and one other dress from there, but thats a shit rate of success seeing as I trawl their website in vain hope pretty much twice a month, and have done for years Sad.

Next Tall is good for leggings, vests, sometimes PJs, occasionally blazers or jackets. But its mainly badly made shite.

Topshop Tall - leggings only. I used to like their Baxter jeans but they changed the material and they are too thin now.

New Look/Dotty P Tall ranges - every now and then they throw up ahem, but its rare.

ASOS - very occasional success, but I am knocking on a bit now for their skimpy styles.

Boden - lifesaver for work clothes and the odd summer dress, but you have to be so careful not to morph into someone 15 years older than your actual age with Boden.

Tall Girls is absolute shite.

Gap Tall disappointing. have bought once or twice from them.

What am I forgetting? Its abysmal, really.

I have said on MN before...I just want jackets with sleeves and shoulders that fit, work and 'occasion' dresses and skirts that are actual knee length, dresses where the waist sits at my actual waist, swimwear where the boobs bit isn't half way down my stomach...y'now...not much Grin

And YES...why are ALL tall women (in the eyes of retailers) 19 years old and a size 8, with tiny breasts and a washboard tum?

I'm 38, size 12,, have mahoosive bobs and a bit of a tim n bum. i'd like some clothes, too, thanks.

Maybe skinny I went to the sample sale and heard lots of the smaller ladies mention the dresses were too long for them, bought a load and love them!

LTS pisses me right off, there is one swimming costume a year from them worth buying and it's always sold out in my size within hours - yet again this year I've missed the window so have to have my tiger stripes on show.

Hello
Not sure if I qualify to be on this thread as I'm a shortie (5'10)....but I feel your pain...
I have found the classic cut of Gieves and Hawkes shirts long enough with space for my 34H norks and mummy tummy Smile

Next do 'some' trousers in Tall (36 inch) or extra long (35 inch) inside leg but online only. Its so annoying to go through the palaver of ordering online though.

I have resolved to wearing regular slim fit M&S trousers for work which look like 7/8 length. I wear them with some very glamorous heels.

Oh and I am REALLY sick of those men (its always short men with an ego problem) making comments about me being tall and wearing heels. Honestly, at our height, another 3 or 4 inches of a stiletto what difference will they make?!

I'm feeling the rage - 3/4 length is the norm here. I've have my summer dresses on this week and asked "aren't you dressed up with you long legs out"....erm, no I'm just dressed with my normal legs out. Pfft.

Planet on the hightstreet do have decent lengths for dresses and jackets (arm length).
Occasionally get lucky in New Look, but it's tat clothing that doesn't last.
