Hi

I've recently separated from H after 15 years of marriage, 20 together.

Somehow I've accepted a date on Thursday & now I'm panicking!

We're only going to a local, cosy type pub, but I'd still like to look reasonably dressed & like I've not been hibernating for 20 years!

I have black & dark denim skinny jeans but always struggle finding tops that look nice.

I'm 5'4, size 14/16, with 34G boobs. I'm really short waisted which doesn't help at all!

Please help me find a lovely top that will hid my lumps & bumps, look inviting Wink and that I can get my hands on by Thursday!!

I'm blonde, with blue eyes & freckles

Thanks :)

I didn't to read and run as I've been in your shoes. I hope you have a great time. Now, I'm no fashion person but am happy to bump your thread until the experts wake up. What shops do you have access to today? Do you prefer plain or pattern? What colours are you happiest and comfortable in? What weather is likely to impact on your choice?

I would do silk tshirt, dark jeans, blazer and pointy high heels.

Thanks ladies

I love those t-shirts & almost ordered one last night!

I have access to standard high St shops but could order something on next day delivery if I'm sharpish.

I like blues, greys, navy, not averse to some pattern but prefer low/deep v neck to high.

Cheap and cheerful but I've just bought this from New Look and it is so ridiculously flattering that I bought it in two other colours today!

I'm also 5'4, short waisted and booby (30G).

Ooh I like that Nomi. Grin

What's it like around the collar at the back?

The drapey bit just turns into a slim collar at the back iyswim.

It's really fab. I expected it to be see through but it isn't at all so no need for a cami under, just a nice smooth bra.

Buy it!! Grin

I've ordered the blue & the cream, planning to wear with darkish skinnies & a pale grey jersey blazer. Will that be ok do you think?
