What bag do you use for everyday?

I've just had some money/vouchers for bday & would like to buy a new bag for daytime use. I currently lug around a large tote/shopper style bag as I go from work to going out with toddler & it's easy just to sling everything in.
It is rather big & heavy though if I just want to pop to supermarket or a shopping trip at weekends. Because it's big I just fill it with anything & everything!!

I'd like to hear what sort of bag other people use for everyday to get some ideas. Do you have separate bags for different functions or just one bag for everything? I've seen some mums at school with those tiny cross body bags which look very cute but I can't imagine much would fit in there?

I would like leather but only have up to about £50.00. I quite like the white stuff bags but not sure if they'd be big enough. Thanks

I split my time between a large brown leather work bag (big enough to fit a4 folder) and on non-work days an across body Kipling bag with lots of pockets (handy for all the things a 4 year old needs!).

I also carry a foldable shopping/shoulder bag in both bags in case I need one (ideal for keeping coats, shoes etc altogether at soft play etc)

I've got two Kipling bags (one black/one brown) large, lots of pockets and a fob for the keys.
I feel I should have something a bit more sophisticated but I don't do pretty bags.

I also have an M&S A4 size flat rectangular bag with 4 sections and the M&S tan twist lock bag (both non leather) but they are handheld rather than shoulder strap, so I wouldn't use these every day

I've got a large black shopper/tote type bag (has across the body strap or handles to go over shoulder) which fits everything in we need (me and DS - he's 9 months). It's got a smaller section inside that's removable which is where I keep my things. If I'm going out with out him I just unclip that and it's an across the body bag then can clip it back into my main bag when back so in ready to go again.
I'm probably not explaining myself well but I love it. It leather effect, and was about £30 I think from Oasis.

Large brown leather shoulder bag, big enough for work stuff, folders etc but also suitable for holding wipes, plastic cups and so on on non-work days.

Or a decathlon rucksack on the days I run to and from work.

A Healthy Back Bag. It fits a surprising amount in it and very hard wearing.

Mmm I like the SallyShopper there Hobby
Has a long strap too + the hand ones.

I really need to step away from Kiplings , mine are getting a bit baggy (as in saggy and out of shape not bag-like ) Blush

Hobby thanks that sounds like an ideal bag. Just having a look online to try & find a pic of the smaller bag.

For every day out and about I have a Mulberry Antony messenger bag - a cross body leather bag. It's not big but fits in my wallet, phone, small brush, keys, spare Lenses and my compact camera. It's hard wearing. I could do with a slightly larger version for some days though as I can't fit my iPad mini in it.

For school if I need something bigger I use a red Ted Baker satchel.

I don't really do lots of handbags.

The old bag company www.theoldbagcompany.com/Header-Content/Bags do some great quality non-leather bags.

I use a Longchamps Le Pliage.

I lug so much stuff round I need a big bag. Lunch, note book, umbrella, general handbag crap, scarf - it's like Mary Poppins's bag!

I have a similar one to hobby, it's Oasis but I got it from John Lewis, it's cream and tan, and is big enough for all my work stuff, and when I pop out t lunchtime or to the shops after work, I can just take the middle section as a small cross body bag.

I have this bag but mine was $50 from a shop in LA. It's not a 'replica' with logos, lining etc but is exactly the same non-branded. It's real leather, big enough to fit everything in and very wearable. I would definitely buy the Alexander Wang one in a different colour.

Another vote for Kipling (Amazon has the best deals). I have Mulberry and Radley etc... bags, but always return to Kipling. Especially for my work bag.

A charity shop faux leather bag that I love and don't want to ever die!
