Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

happy I had a pair of jimmy choo long boots and I wore them to work and sliced an inch long tear in the leather on a door. Anyway I spent the whole day researching what I could do, I found a cobbler near kings cross where I was working that is the only place in the uk that can resole louboutin's, and does repairs for all the big shoes brands. Anyway, he fixed my boots while I waited and you couldn't see anything had happened at all. So, I worry less about fixing expensive shoes than I do cheapies tbh!

Thank you Blair, wow 59!

I will be saving Mad Men for tomorrow night justa.

Don't look yet (spoiler alert), but Tom and Lorenzo do a great style analysis of each episode. It makes me want to go back to the start and watch them all again.

Ah that was lucky karbea I think I would have cried! I'll keep thinking about it.. If the obsession gets too much I'll get them Grin

I managed to rip a hole in my leather leggings the other day Karbea - I felt sick! Luckily I managed to repair them. I have a tame cobbler here who is very good - sorted out my favourite J Crew pair when I really thought I'd destroyed them.

59?! wowsers!

thanks for all the style comments, i never feel brave not being matchy matchy and i know not matching gives some people the rage but it's just not me! at all, not even a little bit. i do sometimes match but its by accident rather than design

Evening!
So epic fail on my Uniqlo reconnaissance mission. I did get to regents Street but only had an hour so having been in Stories, Cos, Banana Republic, Massimo Dutti and Zara my time was up so didn't make it far enough down, sorry to those who wanted me to look at the dress. I should be back in a few weeks if that's not too late.
Maz I just bought some pale green gazelles which I love.
One hope you feel better soon and find out what's causing the issue.
Amber well done on the exercise and healthy eating. I exercise a a lot, eat well during the day but then it goes to pot in the evening and at weekends.
Marsha love the black dress, hope it looked fab.
Shop I desperately wanted a pair of Chi Chis last year but they were too expensive for the amount i would wear them.
Queen I bought a navy ravello in the last Boden sale, not worn it yet so must make an effort.
Am out with the girls on Saturday, what to wear?? Too cold for a dress without opaques (plus due monthly leg wax next week) and feels too wintery with. Skinnies, nice top and heels cliche here we come, need to have a look at what I have and decide to avoid a last minute rush!
Friends wedding next weekend, and recommendations on what fake tan to get a natural golden look on my lily white legs?

thanks myvegas

I've felt mightily annoyed with the weather all week as it's been neither warm nor freezing but that odd sort of inbetween which makes it hard to know what to wear. Some days have been cold enough for a coat but others I've been too warm in a hoodie.

As an aside, the knee rips on my skinny jeans don't actually sit on my knees, they sit about two inches below them! the pains of having teeny tiny legs !

Lol One that's why I don't own any ripped jeans either :) yes the weather has been very changeable this week, at least until yesterday when it calmed down.

MyVegas I like those turquoise sandals, &Other Stories do lovely things. Sorry I can't help with fake tan! But I do like M&S toeless nude tights and would wear them on a cool night out with a dress.

Morning. I hate ruining clothes and if I wear anything expensive I live my life in fear the infamous jaegar blouse. Ridiculous really as its better to wear stuff and ruin it than it just sit unworn in the wardrobe.

queen I am the same. Even though I don't do full on designer clothing generally, I do tend to keep my more expensive stuff/favourite stuff for 'best' ie they hang in my wardrobe for months/years barely or never worn Blush

Morning, so glad it's Friday, job from hell at the moment, looking forward to a loong weekend!
Is anybody away for half term? Last year we went to Greece for a week so a bit Angry at not going away or being off work next week. I have another long weekend though as off next Friday to travel to the wedding and we have 2 weeks in the sun in the Summer to look forward to.
Delayed response on questions, I want a few bits for the holiday so as we don't go until early August hoping I'll get them in the sales. I need some denim shorts and maybe another chino type pair, a pair of black patent flat sandals (thinking Gigis or similar), a couple of things I have my eye on from Hush and 1 or 2 simple dresses for the evening. Novice's recent buys has me shortlisting a couple of Tart ones on the Outnet if they're still there when I'm ready to buy. If the weather was better here now I'd be tempted to buy sooner.

Morning hopping on to come back later.

Thanks for the thread Blair Thanks

Had a brilliant night at the opera, mostly because the company was really good. Had fun at dinner. The dress was good in the middle between very dressed up - full on gowns and not so dressed up. Probably could have got away with shorter Lanvin but it was nice to wear something new and different.

I feel that myvegas - I was away for half term last year and am in a mood that we're not this year. Still, DH has Friday off work and obviously Monday, so I'll actually get to see him. I don't think the poor man has been back before midnight once this week.

I would like a few new bits for my holiday wardrobe. To be honest I need to go through my summer stuff and see what still fits - not much I'd imagine.

Off to see DS get a prize at school assembly today - not sure what for but I'm very proud, obvs.

Oh no vegas please don't post too many links as you'll cost me a fortune! Your taste seems almost exactly the same as mine..Grin

I love the white trousers they're gorgeous! And the shorts are fantastic - I may order those.

I bought these in every colour bar the beige as they're lovely and greatly value:

Also bought these shorts:

I'm away to Italy next Saturday - staying near Florence for the first few days then Portofino for a few days Grin
